Good observation. I wonder too. How could she have escaped the media attention? Or at least their attempts? She's his mother, yet she seems to have faded way into the background - even from the very beginning. Not once has she publicly stood up for her son - not even to say she loved him...Not even a statement...

Imo, the divorce papers between her and Steven shed a lot of light on things. Unfortunately, no one has access to them, either. I wonder if she and her sons could have disowned each other (one end, the other or both) or something along those lines.

Yes, what is her name, again? If they disowned each other I wonder why Josh moved to the same town (SLC) his mother lived in. Or, maybe he did it because his sister was there? I also wonder if Susan had some connection there that might have made the move more acceptable. Or, did she just want to get away from SP?

Its my impression that Susan got along adequately with Steven till the marriage problems started. It was reported that she didn't like Josh's daily phone calls to his dad (among other things). If/when she found out his dad was sending her husband anti-LDS material, that added to the fire.

Also, her parents have said they started having issues with Steven a year ago and don't feel comfortable around him anymore. A year ago is when the marriage problems hit the fan. So I would imagine that is when the discontent spread outside the marriage itself to the extended families.

It did appear Josh got along with his sister (having been reported that she watched the kids at times).

I have seen the divorce court docket. Lots and lots of back and forth pleadings. Lots of declarations filed by lots of people.

It is my understanding that the sister who lives in Utah was over 18 at the time of the divorce and chose to go with her mother. The other children stayed with their dad. I suspect there was a lot of fatherly manipulation going on behind the scenes.

I remember in one article I read it was Josh's Mom and Sister that called the police about them missing. His sister went into the house with the police.

Yes gwenabob that's correct re Terrica and JP's youngest sister who lives in Utah.

And I seriously doubt JP would've left an auger --nor any other digging, drilling, excavating tools or equipment--inside the van lol. He had plenty of time, both all the way home and upon arriving, to solve that. Would have sunk it along w Susan IMO.

Has anyone else noticed inconsistencies about whether or not the boys were there in Utah when he packed up and moved? Some articles say the boys were there, and this one and others have implied the boys have been with Steven in Washington state since Josh went there initially in December.

Okay, help me out here, and please forgive my memory problems and double spacing.

The children were suppose to go to daycare, didn't show up,

then the daycare person calls Josh's sis, (or was she the daycare person?)

Josh's sister or somone starts making all these phone calls,

it's discovered no Susan or Josh at work,

Josh's sis and the Mom live together,

Josh's sister knows something is very wrong,

then Josh's Mom goes to the house hoping she'll find them,

she can't get in the house and no one answers, van's gone.

She calls the Police.

Police go out to the house and break window to get into house.

Calls by many people to Josh's phone are ignored

Until finally, sometime around 3 pm Jovanna gets through to Josh

It takes him another 2 hrs to get back to the house.

At that point, he already knows Susan is missing. Plenty of time on the way back to ditch stuff like gloves or augers off road. However, the generator is still in the van and Josh knows he has to mention it in his alibi. Are the Police right there waiting to investigate when Josh gets back?

What was the brunt of the fighting about? Any details given?

Is it true that those documents have been taken down from that site? I tried to log on and got nothing. Some posters have said they could get the info they wanted and others like me have said they got nada.

We bought our generator in 1996, after Hurricane Fran. It is so loud; I hate it and would have to be truly desperate to use it again. So, from that framework, it seems to me that the generators that are "noiseless" or have "noise reduction" are just probably less noisy. Still, very noisy. Am I wrong? It would be nice if the newer ones truly are quiet. Do any of you have a newer one?

They bother me a lot, and yet when we're out winter camping we often have to move our campsite away from others who do use them. They seem to be essential for winter camping for some people, although we don't use one. A lot of them are quieter than they used to be, and sometimes I can't tell if the neighbors have a noisy heater or a quiet generator.

I find that interesting because i read a post on another site today and they had a picture of Stacy Peterson a year before she dissapeared in the same kind of pic with her kids and she had no wedding ring on.

For the skeptics and IMO the one JP took was in all likelihood a relatively small one. I see no reason for him to admit this unless he knew either boys or somebody heard this anyway.

As you can see, low-noise electrical generators have an extra dimension that creates a lot more possibilities compared to the ordinary power generators that you will find in the market. I do think that most women do take their wedding ring off when they feel the marriage is over and plan to leave...........at that time, she ust of thought of leaving..........
I know many woman that have done this.........been there myself.

That would have been during the time frame she was getting marriage counseling, no?
