I keep rewinding it but I can't tell if it's a man or woman. I can't tell who the third person is they are waiting for to walk up the steps. Could the red coat be his sister and they are waiting for her husband? Not sure. Sorry...

Re bolded, definitely not IMO!! I'm positive Red Coat is a man. I just need to look at pics of SP again--rims of glasses appear brown plastic (vs wire), was at least able to finally catch enough of his face to tell this from this camera!

Obviously JP is lying about WHY he took the generator out in the middle of the night & that is something I'm sure we can all agree on!

(snip, bbm) Thanks savmom That is what I've been trying to say, there was no innocent explanation for having this along. JMHO :shakehead:

This is from the facebook page of Friends and Family of Susan Powell from Mr. Cox today.

Chuck Cox: A report on the investigation. The investigation is proceeding. Police are actively looking at all possibilities and every tip. Still no cooperation or help from Josh. The move to Washington has not reduced the determination of the WVPD. If anything it provides more determination and more law enforcement officers... because we have law enforcement in Washington State also. Some of the forensics have been completed some have not, police can not comment on specifics as it could impact the ongoing investigation. We are still confident that Susan will be found, and very hopeful that she will be found alive. We still need your support and prayers. Not much else to do except pray for Susan and those searching for her. Pray for those in Haiti and others suffering loss and uncertainty. Make sure that people know she is still missing and make sure no one gives up hope

(Sorry I don't know how to add a link. Is it ok to post this? I see it's ok to link news sites but earlier in one of the threads, it was a no no to post a link to a psychic. Please let me know so I can delete this asap. Thanks!)

It confuses me that there are forenisics near completion, and Susan is, in fact, still missing, but then make a statement so confident that she'll be found alive. Where did she go? I hope they explain that statement more soon.

Forenisics for a reason - the wet spot
Susan is still gone - big possibility she was murdered
Josh has convinced everyone of his guilt in numerous ways
But Susan will show up alive anytime now?

I feel like a fool for being on this computer so much trying to figure out where she is. Sorry, I don't feel comforted at all, I just have more questions.

Although Red Coat does appear shorter than JP, I don't think it is his sister. I say this because, IIRC, his sister was taking care of his kids at the time. Also, JP just seems like the kind of guy that would ask other men (no women) to help him with serious issues, like going into a potential murder scene...

And that brings up another question. If he did kill her in the house (or close to it) and there was a major stain on the carpet, etc., why would he invite other people into the house? Doesn't make sense...

Oh, is this a case of just going off to be deprogrammed? Okay, I'll shut-up now.

It's denial - one of the stages of grief - I'm sure you know. You are no where close to being a fool. Yes, let's all keep asking our questions.

Wasn't the carpet cut out for testing by then?

BBL, I need to relax now. My brain is sizzling from thinking so hard on a puzzle with the important pieces missing.

Sorry to quote myself but I was thinking of all the instances where friends (and police) roamed through murder scenes and the POI appeared very accepting of it. So, maybe my question above isn't so relevant after all. It happens. But I can't help but ask what was going through his mind that made him think it was ok for people to go in to his house, see the cut out carpet, missing bedspread, etc.

Forgive me if this has been posted before. I remember reading the article but one sentence stuck out today. I've never heard that part of the financial hardship in the marriage was because Josh thought Susan was overspending. I assumed it was because Josh appears to job jump and he didn't have a steady income. Silly me. I wish Okand3J's were here to shoot down any rumors.

http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20332053,00.html

Ten days after his wife, Susan, went missing, Joshua Powell knocked on a friend's door in tears. For the next hour, he sat on Wayne Hamberg's living room sofa, sobbing, but saying nothing about Susan's mysterious disappearance on Dec. 6.

"He was so distressed, so despondent, so overwhelmed," says Powell's friend Wayne Hamberg, who met the 29-year-old Web site programmer about a year ago at a Salt Lake City computer club gathering.

"The reason he's not talking to police is he's just shut down," Hamberg, 49, a software engineer says about Joshua. "He's so emotionally drained and everybody's attacking him, making him out to be a Mark Hacking or a Scott Peterson. The Josh I know is not some kind of evil guy. I don't believe that's he's suicidal or anything like that, but right now, I don't think he's capable of doing much more than tying his own shoelaces."

Powell, whom police consider a person of interest (there have been no suspects named) in the case, has been under intense scrutiny since he told police he went on a midnight LINK "/people/article/0,,20331686,00.html" "desert camping trip"] in freezing conditions with his two sons, ages 2 and 4, on the night Susan Powell was last seen. Thus far, he has refused to retrace his whereabouts or give investigators an in-depth interview about the night's events.

Family Against Him
"I told him Tuesday night, when he came to see me, not to say anything to me about the circumstances, only to talk to his attorney," says Hamberg. "I want to be his friend, not somebody snooping around for a scoop. I'm there to support him and I'd like to think that he's innocent. I'd like to think that of all of my friends."

Hamberg noticed that Powell was thin and pale, as though he hadn't eaten in days. "I offered to make him dinner, but he refused, saying he just had no appetite for food – that it was tasteless," Hamberg says. "I gave him a hug, then he just sat on the couch and cried. He said the only thing keeping him going right now was his two boys. He's latched on to them as his sole mental support because even some of his own family members have turned on him now."

Although Hamberg has never met Susan Powell, he says Joshua talked about her occasionally during their twice-monthly club gatherings. "Usually, when he had something to say, it was nice," he says. "I do know, though, that he thought Susan was overspending. So there were some financial problems. But that happens to a lot of families."

Needs Support
During their visit at Hamberg's house, Joshua Powell told his friend that he'd been fired from his job because of all the bad publicity, and that the only reason he'd hired an attorney was because "he was so overwhelmed and needed some help."

"He didn't feel that anybody was sticking up for him," says Hamberg. "I've never seen a guy look so beaten down and withdrawn. I think the reason he's not commenting is because right now, he's just incapable of it – not because he has something to hide."

Whether Powell had something to do with his wife's disappearance or not, "he needs some emotional support right now and I'm there for him," says Hamberg. "I don't want to think about whether he could have done the unspeakable. I don't even go there. But I'm worried about Josh as a person. He could really use some friends right now."

The guy just drove to his house!!

LOL this guy is either the most gullible person in the world or is in it up to his elbows.

The prosecutor will love to get this guy on the stand. His statement will prove Josh a liar if he was fired just for missing work.

What is it about Josh that inspires this kind of loyalty. We have heard this story over and over.

(bbm) I know doc, just shoot me...!! :banghead:

People get so sucked into the act... and really poor acting at that too, like on that video (w Red Coat) that's what gets me...

I mean who falls for that?!? It's just pathetic.... JMO

Kiki, maybe they fall for it because they are close to the situation and cannot be objective.
On most every site, outsiders posting say the dude is guilty, guilty, guilty.

O m g... what JP could use is some interrogation... and a few round-the-clock plainclothesmen surveilling him!
