Best guess is that either Josh's dad, his brother or someone else met them at the campsite -- or just after Josh and the boys left; and then took Susan's body to another location ?

Yes, seems a likely scenario. And seems both JP brother and his father are now both deceased IIUC. I didn’t realize that when I posted on Sunday July 28.

This is such an unfortunate case in terms of the missing presumed dead wife SP and the two boys. MOO

The day that Josh murdered his sweet little boys, I was checking some news while other fam. members were watching the Super bowl game on a Sunday.... a breaking news alert that a man barricaded himself in a house and set it on fire, killing himself and two young boys.
I don't know how I knew -- but I realized instantly who it was, before opening the link.
While the rental house was still burning, a reporter stood outside a distance away talking about what the social worker had said in her emergency call, and his voice was breaking somewhat.
Awful.
As if fire was horrid enough, Josh attacked them with a hatchet.

Chimera, I remember that. I told my husband it was Josh Powell. I knew it. Why the judge didn't see he was unhinged in that last court date is beyond me. You could see he was unraveling. I felt so bad for that poor social worker and the Coxes. I could never imagine feeling so helpless and then watching the house explode.

You are correct. She was living in Utah and disappeared here in Utah. JP sold the house here in Utah and moved back to Washington to live with his father with the boys.

My apologies, my sources had came from my hometown Puyallup. I’ve done more in depth research recently, especially following some more info that has come up within the last 2 years, but yes they were seen in Utah

In 2024, some people the molten metal hidden in the back of Josh’s van as a melted down power drill, which HAS been tested I believe by KSL and shown similar results by melting an impact driver. So likely Josh’s sadistic disturbing self used a drill to either kill or further dismember her body.

Then, what animal wearing human pants fell down that mine! Ha. But for real... I am at a loss. And devastated for Chuck once again.

Mrs Oughton said that Charlie told her that his mommy was dead and even drew a van saying that she was in the trunk. Tells me Josh could have transported her body to any where before dumping it, he did melt down a power drill too for some reason and that was found in the van here in Puyallup. He could have brought Susan here too. I can walk over to the old property but it’s far to overgrown and the neighbor has been storing a boat on that land for a while now. Used to be fenced off. Been through a few changes.
