This issue has been discussed many, many times in the various threads. Still, it remains just another question among many in this case.

I think one of her friends has said that they did not have an alarm on their car, and that she thought the alarm going off was a household security alarm.

Perhaps they had a panic button on the keypad that Susan hit.

Yes, perhaps it was the house alarm, but he seemed sure about it coming from the garage, and being a auto alarm......
My question would be if the auto had both a security alarm sound for break-ins, and a security sound for panic alarm.

If it did, i would ask LE, if they played both sounds to the neighbor, with the car parked in the garage and the garage door closed, and play each sound for the neighbor, and let him decide if it was the break in alarm, or the panic sound he heard that night.......and in case, play the house alarm also..Which ever it was, it had to be turned off by pushing a button.
And i would like to know, which sound the neighbor picked during the reenactment of the alarms going off, while it was parked inside the garage......Test the other vehicle also, perhaps it was the other vehicle if they had two at the time....all speculation.
The rental car, i would test it to, if it was equipped with a alarm/panic system also.....I am sure the neighbor would hear the same again after all being replayed for him........If its already been done, then ill just delete this post so not to take up space.

Does anyone know if LE asked Josh about the alarm going off? If so, what did he say? He certainly never mentioned it when he told the reporter he got off to a late start that night to go camping. I think it is very suspicious, and for it to go off for 2 minutes. If he bumped into the car while he was loading "something" into the car, I would imagine he would stop the alarm right away - unless he didn't have the keys on him at the time. But then again, the car would not have been armed if it was unlocked and he was loading it. :waitasec:

I wonder where in the house someone could push the panic button on the key fob and it would activate the car alarm. Living room? Bedroom? I've seen an email circulating around about how you should take your purse/keys in the bedroom with you at night and if there is an intruder to sound your car alarm. Maybe Susan read something similar.

That new page is such a slap in the face to the people who really do love and care about Susan.
Her boys are young but one day they will be able to connect the dots and understand how evil and sick these 's are.

It would be interesting to hear just what JP did for Susan last year on Mother's Day, my thought is that he went out of his way to be sure she was miserable.

I've got news for you JP, we're not buying your b s your true colors have shined through bright and clear. tick tock J tick tock, you will forever have what you did hovering over you, there's no escape.
You could have had a good life but you and only you chose to turn your back on that.

For some reason I keep getting thoughts in my head about a sniveling snearing weak pitiful thing... don't know why, just some kind of oddity I guess.

Wow! I can hardly stand the hypocrisy. The pretense that there's the remotest possibility that Susan will or COULD return. I know I sound negative, but after this long, I really don't see a happy outcome here.

Even though there is no body, how do you convict someone on circumstantial evidence? What kind of evidence does it take? Surely the cops have SOMETHING - don't they? What does the court need to push it past a "reasonable doubt"?

Still, as I ask the question above, I think of the Kathy Taft case in NC. Most people thought the sister did it. There were/are many questionable actions the sister took. Yet, the police arrested a man based on his DNA and charged him with murder, totally killing the "sister did it" theory.

I don't know...is there something out there that prevents LE from stepping up to the plate and charging JP...? Well, obviously there must be. What is it?

I think I'm hoping that it has to do with the fact that they have a *good* idea of where Susan is and that they feel if they can find her, they can convict JP and make him stick. I think they're taking the stance of not rushing into a possible conviction without enough evidence, and the risk of JP walking scott-free. This is simply MHO. But I guess if we don't hold onto hope, we may just give up!

I see that someone on the Facebook WISP site (Where is Susan Powell) was asking if a rumor could be verified. She had heard that JP has found a job at a Puyallup car dealer and she wanted to know if it was true.

And, IMHO, I don't think JP deserves to get a job. I think it's revolting that he can simply go on living his life as if Susan isn't missing - and he's not even looking for her. Go get a job? Hmmmph!:furious:

PENDLETON -- The body of a woman was found in the North Fork of McKay Creek in Umatilla County, Dean Gushwa, Umatilla County district attorney, said Tuesday.
