UT - Tony & Katherine Butterfield, murdered at home, West Jordan, 18 Apr 2020

Love his mugshot. He got the cr*p beaten out of him. Good.
Poor guy -- I guess he didn't want to go with them. But somehow he was convinced... He obviously tried to resist and the rest is obvious. Nice guy, huh?! /s

What in the world made him go to that peaceful place in the middle of the night? He had to know the Butterfields would be at home. Those little children... thank goodness they are physically unharmed and in the care of family members who will never be the same after this horror. It just takes my breath away.

On second thought...I would like to think that perhaps those injuries in the second mugshot were inflicted by Tony during their altercation in the backyard.
My thoughts exactly -- hoping Butterfield whacked him in the face a couple of times -- if not, the guy must have fought the LEO's who found and arrested him. Either way, at least he did receive a couple of punches -- not enuff, but it had to hurt and probably still does.

He sure did get beat up! What a 🤬🤬🤬. Looks to me, his injuries were from the altercation with Tony in the backyard. You can tell they are a few days old and you can see he is already bruising by the eye and looks like dry blood on the hood of his sweatshirt. Tony sure didn't go down without a fight. Praying for those little children!

Suspect in killings of West Jordan couple arrested in California

West Jordan police spokesman Sgt. J.C. Holt said at a Wednesday news conference that Johnson’s facial injuries came from his arrest.
“Mr. Johnson did try to evade officers. Mr. Johnson tried to escape officers and he did resist arrest,” Holt said. “We regret that he made that decision.”
Holt would not comment on the other injuries police believe Johnson received during a fight with Tony Butterfield

Holt said police tracked Johnson to Stockton, about 50 miles south of Sacramento, after receiving tips that he had friends or family in the area and was driving to them. Police found Johnson’s car — the one he allegedly used to leave the Butterfield’s home — when they arrested him.

I sure hope there is body cam footage of the arrest. Looks like he tried to bite an officers boot... but missed... naughty!

Alleged killer of Utah couple is arrested in California

TV station KSL cited unidentified sources as saying Johnson was an employee of the Butterfields’ landscaping business. Police did not confirm that

Evidence indicates Tony Butterfield fought back with a knife, wounding his assailant.
Thanks. Wondered if there was any connection to the victims.
Horrible.
Both perp's look like animals.
Strike that... animals are innocent and beautiful.
"Monsters" or " Th*gs will do.

BUBM I love this quote by the police. LOL. We regret he made this decision.

Wife says husband wanted to work for Utah couple he’s accused of killing

Snippets from the article in Deseret News:

"Sina Johnson eventually admitted that her husband “was familiar” with the Butterfields because her husband had attempted to get a job with their company, according to charging documents."

“Albert told her that someone stabbed him and that his life was over. He showered, changed his clothes and left the apartment,” according to charging documents."

"When she found out her husband was involved in the killings, she took his bloody clothes to the garbage and “cleaned her apartment because there was blood downstairs, on the hallway walls and in the bathroom,” the charges state"

"Albert Johnson remained in custody in California on Thursday. West Jordan officers were traveling to Stockton on Wednesday to interview Johnson and extradite him back to Utah."
