Dozens of animals have been found dead at a Virginia zoo as part of an animal cruelty investigation launched by state authorities.
This is a huge story here in SW VA. It is local widespread knowledge that this zoo, which is not accredited, has had issues with how they are running things. They are run generationally by a family and seem to be chronically short staffed. They have a large number of exotic animals, which can sometimes be observed by visitors to be in poor health. There are undercover videos on youtube documenting abuse there. But I don't know how much will stick, legally.

It's been a contraversal topic. Some say the family loves the animals and they do their best. Others say it's a Tiger King situation. I don't know. I'm surprised it made People Magazine.

well their best isn't good enough
why are these places not shut down
they need to make it illegal to profit off the exploitation of animals
