A man is still missing from James City County, and police are asking for the public’s help in finding out where he is.

Aaron Jacobson, 31, has been missing for nearly two months, James City County Police spokeswoman Stephanie Williams said.

He was last seen by a family member at his home in the 100 block of Old Stage Road in Toano Feb. 12.

Jacobson has “mental health issues” and lived with his grandparents at the time of his disappearance, police said.

Since he went missing, James City County Police have used numerous resources to find him over multiple days, including “pinging” his cellphone to get its location.

The cellphone traced to a wooded area near the 8900 block of Richmond Road, Barnes Road and Ivy Hill Road, Williams said. The wooded area is near the home where he was last seen.

Crews searched by foot and on all-terrain vehicles, and tracked him using a police dog and drone.

Jacobson’s family also organized their own search party, Williams said.

While Jacobson has not been found, his phone continued to “ping” in the same wooded area until it turned off, she added.

There are no indications of foul play.
