Very strange she said she was going to Lynchburg yet her car is in Cville. Nelson Co is right between both of those, but closer to Cville. I worried about Morgan Harrington's connection too, but after seeing her Twitter anything is possible. I certainly hope they find her alive but this does not look good. Prayers to her family. Have they commented yet? Does anyone know anything about them?

Seems that everyone is being tight lipped about it. I think LE and the family know ALOT more than we know IMO.

Officials said there are approximately 50 people searching for her on the ground as well as a helicopter in air in the Route 29 area.

It seems to be moving pretty fast, and with all the cameras in that area as mentioned before one of them must have caught something..unless this is like Mickey Shunick which aside from that one video if the DWT there was nothing. Back to this case, I really think Ms. Murph* was in need of a lot of attention. I wonder what her home life was like? Very pretty girl but looks like she was trying to be all things to everyone.
Such a shame that we as parents and caretakers can't do more to help build positive self-esteem in our youngsters.

Murphy's aunt, Angela Taylor, says the family is excited that the car was found, and that she doubts the car has been where it is for four days without anyone noticing it, which gives her and the family hope.

Taylor last spoke with Murphy the day she disappeared.

"When I talked to her she was like, yeah yeah, just her typical self and then Sunday morning you get this phone call and your heart just instantly stops," Taylor said.

Murphy's classmates say it will be a tough first day back at school on Monday if she's not back.

Wondering where she worked in relation to the theatre. Also, from Google satellite view, the place that looks most like where her car was parked (from the photo) is down near those apartments. It's the only thing that looks close to correct with the tree, landscape, and other cars. With the scent purportedly headed that way, she may know someone there and this could be a voluntary type thing. Hope so anyway.

Yes, I agree...she was trying to be "hot" and I can't talk bad about that, I was soooo like that at her age - granted I did NOT post pics basically in my underwear - but I did like the attention...thank GOD I'm not like that anymore and it was just a phase for me, I grew up and just recently got engaged and have been with my Fiance for 4 years...I kind of think of him as my hero bcs I don't know where I would be today without him, back then I just wanted to be loved by someone, anyone - my parents got divorced when I was 16 so that made me act out and I didn't trust anyone - never got into drugs or drinking, just tried to be "hot" lol. Im just glad that no one kidnaped me or worst bcs I too would post where I was going. I was so young and SO beyond dumb. What I'm trying to say is IMO she wants to be love, and craving attention from anyone that will give it to her...this might just be a "phase" for her - I did see videos of her smoking what looks to be weed I just hope it want a drug deal gone bad, but that's not likely. I just don't have a good feeling about this one - I'm just hoping for the best, that she is found safe.

She works at Kid to Kid in Charlottesville. Very close to the theater. Less than 1 mile north of theater.

I'm in Southern Va, and many counties in this area are adopting a new schedule this year of going back Aug 12 and getting out before Memorial Day. I believe Fairfax still follows the "Kings Dominion" Law though of going after Labor Day?

It seemed weird to me that the aunt was "excited" that the car was found. If my 17 year old daughter was missing this would be some of the worst news I could receive, except that they'd found her dead of course. It isn't good news at all. Very strange...
