So this is weird... there's this guy on her twitter who, in his profile, states she's his "wifey." The Sunday she went missing he was inactive on Twitter from 2.24p until 8.55p... and at 8.58p said "just wanna talk to my shawty right now" (IDK who his "shorty" is though, but assuming her name is in his profile.....) and on 8/3 he said "sometimes you need to just snap at a girl, put her in her place." Looks like he's from Tappahannock, about 2 hours away.

has anyone found the time or place she got the car from Dad?

As I continue to look at the Google satellite view of Cannery Loop, I can't help but think she may be in that area. Perhaps even being held captive and alive. I wonder if someone has a basement, storm shelter, or underground 'grow' bunker in the area? I also see a few barns and outbuildings.

And once again, the Red Clay Lane off of Cannery goes up into the middle of nowhere. Looks like a logging road of sorts. I would be checking that area with a fine toothed comb.

That is what I want to know. It is a significant bit of information that is being withheld, IMO.

Lots of teens drive cars that are registered in a parents' name. I would suspect she drove the car all the time, rather than borrowing it from her Dad on a case by case basis. JMO. Never worked that way when I was a teenager, though!

Here is the latest article.

"The search for missing Nelson County teenager Alexis Murphy stretches into day six Friday. While there are no breakthroughs in her case, there are some details emerging about the investigation.

The 17-year-old left her home in Shipman Saturday night. Surveillance video shows Murphy at the Liberty gas station in Lovingston Saturday around 7:15 p.m. That was the last time she was seen. Her car was found on Tuesday at Carmike 6 movie theater in Albemarle.

We learned from neighbors Friday that police searched their homes and the area nearby in search of Alexis' cellphone. Neighbors who live on Cannery Loop say police searched their yards and houses Monday. They say the FBI told them the last ping on Alexis' phone was closest to their street.

Neighbors say everything from sheds to creek banks to refrigerators were searched and say they are happy to help if this can bring Alexis back home because it is affecting the whole community.

"You see it on T.V. but you can't imagine it would happen to you. It's just kind of devastating," said Keith Spencer, who lives on Cannery Loop.

Neighbors say police have been searching ditches and medians on Route 29 nearby all week. A search helicopter also circled the area above Cannery Loop Friday afternoon but there is still no sign of Alexis or her missing cellphone at this point.

The FBI did confirm Friday that it plans to go national with this investigation and has already had inquiries from national media outlets.

We also learned that the Virginia Department of Transportation unfortunately can't offer much help in the search. Though VDOT has a network of cameras, they can't be used to track Alexis' car between Lovingston and Albemarle County.

The cameras are monitored in Augusta County, but those cameras are live-looks only and none of the feeds are recorded. That means police cannot go back and piece Alexis' trail together by using stored images.

If you have any information, authorities are asking you to call 434-263-7050."

In a taped interview, her father said she asked to borrow his car.

on another aspect of the car:
Video of the car being towed away showed what looked like damage along the lower skirting of nearly the entire passenger side of the car. Did anyone notice that? It looked like a long scrape.

It will be interesting to find out if that is damage and if so if it is new damage.

Thanks. I missed the taped interview... and usually scan written material very quickly. Interesting about the damage to the car.

I found this on the Help Save the Girl site on FB. Any thoughts could this be a truck driver doing all these crimes? Sage Smith is a transgender teen so we might can rule him out because they have a suspect for him, who has fled. However, what about the others are they linked to Alexis Murphy who also disappeared around the RT 29 corridor? If it was a truck driver that would make sense could have been at the gas station, McDonalds, or the grocery store adjacent to the gas station at the same time? Are there any similarities in these cases that might link them? Just some thoughts.

THe relative silence is deafening. I think it means they're onto something big. Hope so. This case needs to break with a quickness.

Do you have a link for this? Their earlier report today said that they couldn't even use the cameras from the surveillance tapes. A link would be helpful. I did a search of this and found no matches. Thanks.

Kilburn says there is nothing good about being connected to this investigation.

"It's very disturbing," Kilburn said. "I'm trying to offer a family business here and I hate to think that Charlottesville is the kind of place where this can happen."

Kilburn says the Carmike Cinemas had posters of Alexis posted all week, but he took them down on Friday to get ready for weekend crowds.

I don't know much about the other cases, but I feel like Holly and Lauren were too far away from a main interstate for a truck driver to just hop off and take them. 37 is near downtown Bloomington where LS was last seen, but definitely doesn't run straight through it.

I also don't see a truck driver stopping at a gas station. I guess some might, but my dad has driven a semi my entire life and I'm sure he only goes to truck stops.

Then again, the possibilities seem endless in this case...so who knows :(

I find this to be pretty creepy. I know LE is looking into her social media presence, but I feel like someone should contact them and tell them about this guy. Just in case.
