Virginia has abduction charges as well. It is a State crime and a person doesn't even have to take the person far from there original location. It can be a matter of feet.

Yep, expanding on that it can be charged to an act as simple as holding someone's arm and preventing them from leaving.

The easiest way to find out the name may be to look up tomorrow as a "hearing date" on the VA Courts website. Abduction is a felony and therefore there will be an arraignment. Arraignments are normally held within a week of the perp being arrested. But like I said, I work in the legal defense field and I think its more than likely this charge is going to be sealed from the public because it involved a minor. It will most likely be held in the JDR courts.

Are you saying a minor is the perp? If not and the perp is an adult, he will be tried publicly like anyone else, and his arrest will be made available as well.

Their arrest may not be listed as the crime involved a minor.

The arrest itself would still be listed. Just not the minor's information.

Trina Murphy tells @NBC29 : "It's bittersweet because we have a suspect. We still don't have Alexis, and that's the prize we're waiting on."

He might be, we don't know yet...but no, Alexis is a minor, as she is only 17 years old.

I am still guessing that the perp is someone she "met" on SM and LE may not want that known so as people don't start with the blame game, JMO.

15 min ago. I'm guessing "C Loop" is Cannery Loop.

It looks like there's a building of some sort behind the trees on the left-hand side, just above the police cars. A house or shed or something.

They're back at Cannery huh..

Looks like it. Have a feeling they could be gathering evidence at the perp's home. Just felt all along like this is local and probably a meth head or something.

Right, but if he is over 18 they're not going to seal his arrest records just because she is a juvenile.

It's possible to be both a local meth head and a relative.

was out of internet due to storm.. sorry if this was stated somewhere... but can someone give me a google map pic or address/location of where this pic is taken?

Any way someone can figure out the address?

Hmm I am so glad an arrest was made because that means answers should soon follow. I guess she didnt make it much further then the gas station.

From Google Satellite view, with the shrubbery and visible small building just to the left (garage?) it looks like the second residence on the right on Cannery Loop coming South from Charlottesville.

Beyond that it's on Cannery Loop, no address. "Across from the farm market," if that means anything to the locals." (Info from the tweet text)
