Earlier Sunday, state and local officials were busy mapping the parking lot at the Carmike Cinemas movie theater in Albemarle County, where they found Murphy’s car last week. A small team of investigators set up a laser scanning machine across from the parking lot, temporarily blocking one of the entrances and redirecting traffic while they mapped out the scene. Laser scanners are typically used to render a three-dimensional model of a crime scene, which is more detailed and more accurate than a two-dimensional sketch.

Virginia has abduction charges as well. It is a State crime and a person doesn't even have to take the person far from there original location. It can be a matter of feet.

I wonder what would happen if they "upped" the crime to kidnapping? Is that a federal crime especially if it involved internet/out of state user, for example?

Yes! It's across the highway! Disregard my earlier post. Just go directly across and you'll see the small driveway and even the building to the left from Google Streetview.

is that based on photo, or driving by? I wasnt sure if the light in the photo was search light or light on property... some of these properties have lights just like this... if based on photo, Im not sure... if based on drive by, thats not good news...

It's directly across the road from Jims used autos in Cannery Loop.

From Google Satellite view, with the shrubbery and visible small building just to the left (garage?) it looks like the second residence on the right on Cannery Loop coming South from Charlottesville.

okay, so from all of these quotes, I think what I am getting is that this is on the 29 north side, correct? not on the cannery loop side of 29, but on the side going toward ch'ville? if that is the case... I am trying to figure out, looking at google map, earth, whathaveyou... is this one of the houses between country lane and eades lane, and if so, which one? anyone with any idea? storms making internet slow for me so trying to get map up so I can see.... I can visualize across from Jims in my head, but need the map to be certain... (im local)

I also thought it was a possibility a family member was involved too. I was on Alexis twitter and she commented that some family member said she has a rump on her.Alexis said that he was a pervert. I found that incident to be disturbing to say the least.

finally got google map up.... anyone who is looking at google map, if I am correctly looking on the 29 north side of road... not the cannery loop side, but the right-hand side of 29, would it be the house directly across from Jims Auto, or the house at the end of Country lane... that pic with the FBI cars in the drive way were taken? any ideas or thoughts from looking at map?
