Breakup violence is becoming more and more prevalent and it makes me so sick. the ownership people seem to think they have over others is so freaking inhumane I just don’t understand... I’ll never understand

Whatever occurred between her, her Mom and George at the end of April was brewing to create a horrible tragedy. It's hard to tell whether the FB pics are from here in VA. I am inclined to say they are, because but this is an extremely rural area, the State Forest gets the locals lost...19,000 acres of unmaintained state roads, dead ends with fire trails...in this instance, dead end into a fire trail road. Most folks not from here could not find it even with GPS. I wish women would be extra careful meeting people as this guy has a very serious "rap sheet" beginning at 20 years old. TRO's, RO's do not protect people. Matt certainly didn't deserve this. . . he is a good local young fellow, nor did she. She, in fact, did own the trailer and the local word is a call came in from someone claiming to be her son, saying his mom had just been shot. If this is true, crazy he would do that. I am sure the remains are hers and wishing anything other than leave with him as your chances of any kind of escape dimish. This is the Commonwealth of Virginia. A death sentence might be too good for this animal.

Yes, she owned a property with a trailer on it, but nobody has stayed in the trailer for years, there is no power or anything there, it was bought because it adjoined her mothers property, where they have a house and an older hunting cabin, I believe it was the hunting cabin at her mothers place where the incident happened, that's where her vehicle is parked.

Yea, So sad. I had a cousin who died in her 20's because of a breakup/divorce. I just don't get the level of revenge they are seeking.

If she looked at this guy's seruous convictions and time spent in jail over the course of 20 years, I would have been locked and loaded as most of us are here. The State Forest, in particular, is hugely intimidating, making South Hill look like a metropolis. We don't have much in the way of LE in regards to a quick response to anything but who knows what time this all actually occurred.

Yet another set of lives destroyed over nothing, when people could have just moved on.

That’s just it... some people aren’t emotionally mature enough to move on. At that point though, why not just take your own life instead of others first? It’s just so appalling that they seem to need to make a “point” before they go or are caught.. so selfish and lacking any type of emotional self-awareness. I don’t at all condone suicide, but it’s a better choice than murdering others imo.

FYI she had one son. And he was and is safe and sound with his father over 1,000 miles away at the time.

Is that the reason you joined?

So glad you guys were not around when this happened.

My friends family lives in the area she was found. The community was devastated. Its very rural mostly farming families that have been there for generations. Everyone was checking their property, Hoping and praying to find her alive.

I am so sorry.
