Thinking of everyone at the memorial service today. Especially Zach and Mel and their families. I pray that they get there early enough so they get in and the doors aren't locked. I so enjoyed all the pictures Zach posted they are beautiful and the love from the girls is present in every picture. Now we need justice for AJ in the coming weeks. I know this will be a hard day for Zach and Mel but AJ will be looking down and feel their love.

Just to be clear, are you speculating about why this *hadn't* happened, or advocating that WS members start making tips?

Not to speak for the moderators, but there was a vigorous discussion that involved custody issues a while back, and we were advised not to reopen that discussion again. I'm pretty sure that hasn't changed.

The victim and the accused, who were housemates, were students at Mary Washington University in Fredericksburg, VA.
The perp looks like one of the liars from the Utube video ("The Lying Game"). Video link posted by katydid23 [Thread #7, p. 40, post #984, 03/27/2015 (2:16 pm)].

According to the report, the victim's father is a juvenile and domestic relations court judge in Fairfax County, VA (Northern Virginia area).

Coincidentally Fredericksburg, VA is where WH ("nonviolently"--his words) committed bank robbery, a felony conviction for which he spent 54 months in jail.

And someone on AJ's Thread here was just commenting on how Virginia has a lot of young women who are either missing, or were found murdered, or presumed dead.

In about 20 minutes the memorial service for AJ will start. I'd like to propose that we do a roll call here on WS. We did this on Hannah Garner's thread during the candlelight vigil held in Ashland, Oregon in December. It was beautiful to see us all gathered in so many locations, thinking of Hannah, and it bonded us during and after that time.

Just post your location, general or specific. If you come in later today or even tomorrow, post anyway. Zach and Brenchen will be able to feel the love from all over.

I am just starting to try to learn about this case. (I live in the area of murdered little boy, Barway Collins, so have focused on that....) I understand there is a suspect in this AJ murder. Is anyone naming a possible motive?? Could it be 'rebuffed s@xual advances'??

No suspect or Person-of-Interest named yet, that I know of.

I am heading off to the garden center to try to find a true blue rose to plant for AJ. The memorial service, in real time, is more than I can handle emotionally at the moment.

Be kind and respectful of one another, WSers, especially today as we celebrate the life of this extraordinary young lady.
