Identified! VA - Annandale, White male, 20-40, Jun'12 - Matthew Johnson

The man is described as a white male, 20-40 years old, 5'11" & 130lb, with red hair and a red beard.

He was found at approximately 6:30pm on June 20 at Hidden Oaks Nature Center. Cause of death has not yet been determined.

ok, I had to laugh. the initial link provided in the thread had a prior story right below it that included this sentence:

Police are still investigating and have not determined the sex, race or age of the deceased or the circumstances surrounding the death.

uh, the deceased had a red beard. they needed a full autopsy to determine he was male?

it would be helpful to know how long they thought the man was dead. if he is newly deceased he probably is not showing up on any missing persons sites.

It was extremely hot in the two days surrounding the discovery of this man. There were heat advisories and record heat levels reported. It is possible that he died from heat related issues. There are many homeless people living in and around the area parks. Which may explain why there is no missing person's report to match up which the description of the man found.

The Fairfax County Police website states that there was no indication of foul play.
