GUILTY VA - Ashanti Billie, 19, found deceased, Virginia Beach, 18 Sept 2017 *Arrest*

I was having a chat with someone today who mentioned was a bit skeptical of the person in custody for Ashanti's murder. They presented a possible situation where this p person was the fall guy and either didn't do this,at all or didn't act alone. My question is (yes I watch alot of murder mystery shows) has anyone every seem in real life case where someone really seemed guilty in this millennium of murder but was found not guilty after all? I'm just curious and researching for my own gee wiz. Please share, maybe on this message board. Im.stilling figuring out how to navigate outside of this thread. Thanks...btw has anyone heard that the suspect walks with a,limp?

They went missing quite a ways from Norfolk/VA Beach for someone that doesn't have a car, but that's so weird!

Every murder case typically has one or more suspects who seem guilty and are ruled out, leading you to the right one.

In the case of this guy, I think they have more than sufficient evidence pointing to him, most importantly his DNA on the inside of her shirt.

No those were mostly old cases before we had current dna availability.

First of all...so very happy that Ashanti's disappearance and murder were taken so seriously and a suspect (a very good one, IMO) has been detained. Second, I SOOO hope this leads to a break in Keir and Chloe's case. I have woken up nights thinking of this mommy & little one. Third, several upthread were asking where this guy's money went as a retired Naval petty officer. I wonder about some type of drugs--he was seen walking erratically in VA Beach (up & down interstate exit ramps, FGS!), and randomly opening up cars that weren't his. This sounds like he's either drinking an awful lot, drugging it up, or both. Also, I don't think soliciting prostitutes on a reg basis would be a cheap hobby.

I just saw a petition today on Facebook for boycotting blimpies. Apparently the manager fired all of the employees for speaking up.and talking to police during investigation. That seems really suspect! Has anyone heard about This? ALSO. Im.not sure how true it is but I was told that Ashanti's accuser walks with a severe limp. It didn't look like the guy was limping in that video. I'm re ally curious if there was more than one person involved.

Blimpies matched the $10,000 FBI reward for information on Ashanti’s disappearance. If there were firings about people speaking with investigators (which I doubt), I’d think a call to corporate would reverse that decision.

I’m not local, so I’m not hearing anything about a limp. It seems like something like that would come out fairly quickly. It sure sounds like they have a lot of direct & indirect evidence on EB. It also sounds like he was a loner, maybe with his own mental health issues (not an excuse). I’d hope that Ashanti’s patents and others would be united in seeing that justice is served. What do you think?

After I saw the above mention of Blimpie firings, I did some internet searches.

The following two pieces of info were taken from two different online news sources. These articles are talking about two different people who were Ashanti's coworkers. Looks like they both are no longer Blimpie employees. Notice the second one mentions 'worked' not 'works'.

This firing business sounds odd IMO -- we certainly don't have all the details, and knowing what little I've read, it seems to me that the owner should have praised his employees for being good citizens and helping to find justice for their friend & co-worker. There must be more to this, surely. IDK.

Is there any media source that says anyone was fired? Googling it, just leads to that petition, and none of the links on the petition say anything about anyone being fired. It sounds like fake news to me.

This is placing suspicion on the JEB Blimpie owner/manager. Did he or she use Eric Brown as a hitman? Owner/manager would of known Ashanti was to show up for work early that day.
