I think the uncle expressed some of those same questions.
But, the speculation is that the uncle owes money from some
kind of illicit deal and the 3 men took it out on his family,
including taking a 2 yr old boy,
binding and gagging a 4 yr old, upstairs,
leaving 2 other babies on the couch, unharmed,
knocking the stepdad unconscious at the back door and
he comes to on the living room floor.

No, it does not make any sense.
I think that is why many of us look at the stepfather and think,
hmmm,
where is little Aveion?

I have to wonder if all these children have the same father and if they do not is it possible that Aveion's bio dad is connected to uncle Chris in a way that would make Aveion more of a target then the other children ,or possible the other childrens father have more of a relationship with the family and Aveion's father is less of a problem and again a more likey target?
I suspect uncle chris connection way more than I do the step father at the moment mainly because he admit to being involved in some shady aspect that could lead to this and then says the stepfathers story is not adding up.
I know the simplest explaination is the most likey outcome but people spent years blaming Jaycee's stepfather so that gives me hope for a more complex outcome.

he looks beat up to me too, but look at the tip/ball of his nose. It looks swollen, kind of like he fell forward and on his face. He could have these marks from falling forward and on his face. If he opened the door and was cold cocked, he would have fallen back and had some kind of noggin on the back or side of his head. Unless he was hit so hard, his body turned around and he landed on his face.

I can't tell what kind of mark that is on his cheek, looks like a finger nail mark/scratch?

If He was hit and knocked out was unconscious before he fell the most likey way for him to fall would be foward. Like when people who faint, fall or people with epilepsy fall.

There's also 2 other children in the home..2-year-old girl and an 11-month-old boy who are Aveion's step-dad's? That's 4 little ones under the age of 4! That's an awful lot for anyone to cope with..Just saying!

Mom really should get herself on some form of birth control (imho) that I believe is free with state ins & I assume they have it since they are living in low-income housing.

I found a Brandon Lockett on MySpace. Last login 1/13, the day before Aveion went missing. Age is 24, making the birth year most likely 1985. Will keep looking for exact date. I'm horrible at records searches though.

This does sound strange but it does seem to fit. I think if it happened ANY way, we would pull apart the hinky. But I see the story as plausible.

Sometimes a bizarre outline of events is more honest then a clean-cut story.

Basically If what the step-dad is saying, the perps came in and hit him in the head, he passes out (probably on his face), they start destroying the house, find 2 of the kids and tie one up (maybe showing that they mean business, except I think that if they had really meant to harm anyone they would have hurt the girl at this point-unless the LE hasn't let the press in on that.) and then they take one of the other kids on a whim and decide to make it a ransom. The LE I remember hearing in the articles said some items were missing. A TV is big and heavy, I wouldn't rob someone for a TV. Imagine trying to load it. I would rob them for their cash, drugs, and small valuables if I was a perp.

Why I don't think the step-dad alone could have done anything,
It sounds like he doesn't have a vehicle. The 4 year old would have said something. He would have had to leave the house, and leave the children alone, I think there would be some evidence of this. I don't think he had the time to do it all alone. If the mom was in on it, then where did she drive to and from. Was she at work the entire time?

And if she wasn't involved I think she would know the step-dad's drug dealer. So if the drug dealer was involved and she wasn't involved I think she would be spilling out everything she knew to get her son back.

I just think that in family abuse usually most the family endures it, not just one of the children. I think that it makes sense to me that only one child was grabbed. Why would they want to worry and take care of more than one. And I have more thoughts but I'll stop rambling on.

But of course without all the facts, there is no way in knowing what really went on. I just hope they find this darling boy and he gets a chance to live a life. It's extremely scary to me either way this goes, if that 3 males have him or if the step-dad was involved.

If they are serious about the ransom, with the LE having this all over the news and looking for them, it's probably really hard to figure out how to collect. HOPING for that option, as it means he is still with us.

The biggest thing that is bugging me right now is the ransom note. Paired with the fact that no one has tried to collect that money. At least...not that we are being told. Which, of course, could just be being kept quiet, but still. I honestly don't know which side of the fence I sit on right now. I keep hopping from side to side.

Did you see this comment, amysmom that said little Aveion was removed from the family because he was 15 mos. old & weighed less than 8 lbs..it also said they didn't take him to his dr. appts or give him his medicine.

Maybe someone who wanted little Aveion to be safe 'arranged' a kidnapping, and the home invasion & ransom letter is a red herring.

At least that scenario brings some hope that the little guy may be safe & cared for somewhere right now.

The other alternatives are not so good.

I think you can link it here. I think it is okay because he is an adult and he is the "poi" sorta - but the person that is driving the case.

Also, someone posted a bunch of info on traffic violations. Did any of that have his middle name? They didn't post the link. Does the poster remember the website and I'll go look for myself. If I can verify his middle name, I may have a dob plus some crim. history. Again, the info is coming from Michigan.
