31-year-olds Cherie Danielle Sullivan and James Edward Cressel were arrested this week following the Friday discovery of their daughter. Court records say the girl’s parents gave “vague, differing stories” about how their daughter was found dead.

Records say the girl had visible bruises on her forehead, and the parents’ timeline of events don’t match with the girl’s potential time of death.

Two other children, ages three and 15 months, were also in the room.

Records also say Sullivan told authorities she and her husband are addicted to opiates and the baby tested positive for opiates at birth.

Whoa, isn’t Spotsylvania a pretty small place to be on websleuths so often? I feel like it’s one tragedy after another after another. I hope these pathetic ’s rot and I hope their withdrawal is filled w/ pain, agony, chronic and mostly the vivid hallucinations of this sweet life they snuffed out for absolutely no reason. I hope the 2 other babies never know how unloved they seem to have been.

The photo with the baby in pink was on his FB in 2016, that’s apparently one of the older children. I’m so angry and sad for all of these babies.

Spotsylvania is a relatively small county, basically DC suburbs, but in rural VA the heroin and meth problem is staggering. It just keeps getting worse.

Illegal drugs among top causes in Fredericksburg area's 2018 homicides

"During 2018, at least 13 people were victims of homicides, along with one other person who perished in a suspicious death, in the Fredericksburg region.

The number of area homicides surpassed 2017’s total by two and fell well short of the 19 area killings in 2016.

At least five of this year’s cases involved relatives and another three of the homicides appear to have been related to illegal drugs....

Spotsylvania

...The county’s second homicide occurred on Aug. 23, but felony murder charges weren’t filed until November.

According to court records, a 4-month-old girl was found dead in a motel in the Four Mile Fork area. Her parents, Cherie Danielle Sullivan and James Edward Cressel, both 31 of Spotsylvania, were initially charged with felony child abuse.

The baby had visible bruises on her forehead. The mother told investigators the child had tested positive for opiates when she was born, records state.

A grand jury indicted the parents on felony murder charges on Nov. 19. A jury trial has been set for March 6...."

Because of the philosophy of "Family Reunification", and treating substance abuse as an "disease". When Substance Abuse is considered an "disease" it equates removing a child from a drug addict to taking children from a Mother who is receiving treatment for breast cancer. Horrible analogy, but premise is the same.
