MISSING ADULT – COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE REQUESTED

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing adult.

Charles Arthur Smith Jr., age 21, was last seen on or around February 22, 2026, in the 1200 block of Tripple Creek Road at a relative’s residence.

He has not been seen or heard from since departing from that home.

Charles (Charlie) is described as:
• Approximately 5’10” tall
• Approximately 180 pounds
• Brown hair
• Brown eyes

Not much info. out there at all.
Did he leave the relative's home via foot or vehicle.
His own car or borrowed.
Does he have his phone with him ?
It's been over a week now.

He had a recent speeding ticket for which he was found guilty in absentia , likely just going to be a fine so he at least recently had access to a vehicle.

Some minor marijuana charges (prosecutor declilned to prosecute) and a trespassing charge that was dismissed. Teens in rural areas, not something that's unusual or red flag to me, kids get bored, sometimes do stupid things (raising my hand). His Mom is speaking out on Facebook, asking for help in looking for him. She obviously loves her son and wants to see him home safe. Hopefully someone will remember seeing him.
