Senior Alert issued for missing 81-year-old Roanoke man who has dementia

ROANOKE, Va. — Authorities are asking for your help in finding a missing 81-year-old Roanoke man who has dementia.

Virginia State Police issued a Senior Alert for Charles Edward George. George is 5-foot-8 black man who weighs around 200 pounds and has brown eyes and balding gray hair. He was last seen Wednesday at 10 p.m. on Dansbury Drive Northwest in Roanoke. Authorities believe he was possibly wearing a blue sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, black tennis shoes, and black glasses.

Missing 81-year-old man found safe in Roanoke

81-year-old Charles George, who was last seen around 10 p.m. Wednesday night at his home on Dansbury Drive, was located by a police officer just before 6 p.m. Thursday.

He was found near the intersection of 4th Street and Elm Avenue.
