....I would never "snoop" on my kid,I completely 100% believe she has as much right to privacy as I do...I have her myspace password, twitter and facebook passwords because she told me...I don't use them though, she knows mine too.....whenever I make a decision to say "no",I give her the reason and I've done so since she was a toddler....I can not stand "because I said so".....

...I parent that way because that's how I am,I can't force myself to be "bossy" to my kid, she's a really good student, she does have problems with anxiety, depression, stuff like that but so do I,we get through it together...
....anyways I'm now sure Debra and Mark did what they did because they were probably advised by a therapist....maybe that was part of Emma's resentment towards her parents,I just really want to know why she hated her mom and whether she really fell head over heels for Sam or if she was more just leading him on.....

Well, if they put packets on my network I may see them. That's how it is. I monitor my network to maintain security not primarily to spy on anyone. But yeah I know when someone is accessing BitTorrent or warez sites or other stuff. They could hide **** from me if they were savvy enough but I don't give them a reason to do that.

Well its not as bad as it sounds, I dont go through their stuff or anything but I do have a young daughter just now getting interested in boys and I do need to keep an eye on how she responds to certain types of pressure males will put on her so that I know what needs to be addressed when teaching moments arise. So yes I do keep an eye on things but not because I am a control freak or anything, the kids have a lot of freedom and do pretty much what they want to do as long as they are honest with me.

I am definitely all up in their business as Ziggy would say because I care about what they are doing and I wont be one of those parents who wants their kids to think they are cool, im not their friend although we are friends at times, I am their parent and I am there to provide security and protection for them until they can handle that themselves.

Just wanted to add that there is really no right or wrong way to parent, its all guesswork and my approach is certainly no better than anyone elses but its worked ok for me so far and I am grateful for that!

Sam's family situation sounds horrible, but that doesn't surprise me. I always guessed he had some rapidly deteriorating stuff at home. Whenever I delve into my clients who are accused of violent crimes family and upbringing, they always have issues.

September 24, 2009 - Thursday

Does everyone wear a mask?
I ask this because it seems that we truly never know anyone fully.

With all that's going on it just got me thinking. I mean... do we?

When do we know when someone is genuine?

I see so many people saying they refuse to believe what happened and I respect that. I have trouble believing it myself. But it's here.. it's reality.

The truth is you never can really tell who a person is. They have to show you... and unless this is a conspiracy involving the police (I'd believe it was a conspiracy involving the Church before that) it's pretty clear we have all been shown a person's truer colors.

Now I never knew Emma or Mel personally. I had seen them around a lot on various sites and whatnot. I knew who they were in that regard. Sam on the other hand goes a lil bit more back... to 2005 to exact.

Again I was never close like most of the others dealing with this tragedy. Still, it was the days of Juggaloforum.tk

Sam was posting as lildemondog back then even.

I remember him as a witty, intelligent, and genuinely cool guy to talk to.

I am in shock still.. that I know someone capable of such acts. But I will not lie.. it has made me realize there is a real nature to everyone. It won't surface until one fateful day.

You'll find out your wife-to-be has been sleeping with your best friend of 10 plus years, on an almost daily basis. Because you aren't around as often, for some reason or another.

You'll find out your Father is a debtor and a dealer, and has lied to you for years about where he made money.

Or maybe you find out that all along, you, aren't who you thought you were. Because you said to yourself for years, that will never be me. Next thing you know, you killed two people because they were not wearing seat belts. While you took a few downers and a shot of Jack before the drive. Trust me I know that guy his name is JT and he's always been cool.

I remember saying to myself.. I knew he was a stoner... but that never hurt anyone. I couldn't imagine the guy to be one to take designer drugs or drink then drive.

But he was, and it happened and it's all the guy thinks about. Regret and depression have become that poor guy's life.

But it didn't cross my mind at all he would do something without thinking of the repercussions.

People you talk to everyday... you just don't know. The human mind cannot accept a perfect world. Without chaos there would be no order... blah blah blah. Come up with all the excuses you want. The fact is you will never ever truly know anyone until they show their true nature.

Some people already have shown their true nature though. They are the ones who stand beside you in mourning and shock. Usually, anyways... some could be standing there milking it for their own entertainment or personal gain.. unfortunately. But it's easy to point them out.

In the end it's the people with that hollow pit from sadness and loss in their chests... that we know are genuine.

Don't mind me folks, my mind is working on little sleep and mass amounts of stress.

Again my condolences are out to everyone suffering from this recent event on both sides of the situation. But we all, myself included, need to come face to face with the reality of it.

New Sermon For The Deciples 5 / 16 / 2009
Current mood: focused
Category: Religion and Philosophy
Praise from the morning star to the children of light and the highest illumination, for we are growing in numbers!

Praise be to all deciples of the watch, for our time draws nigh! Let us never forget the work set unto us from he who speaks the doctrines, for the doctrines are blessed to the wicked!

May we surpass the number 5 for that is the number of man!
May we surpass the number 6 for that is the number of the devil!
May we surpass the number 7 for that is the number of God, and we have surpassed him!

Blessed be the ones who understand the great work of the highest!

Infernal Greetings to all TRUE deciples of the watch as the time of the second chapter of the doctrines approach us.

Let no man pull your eyes shut, for your eyes are eyes to see!
Let no man close your ears, for your ears are to hear!

Let the great beast speak to you as a incarnation of all emotions negative and positive for without one, there can be no other.

Let the light of Lucifer shine bright to the chosen ones,
And let the darkness and love of jesus christ blacken the eyes and ears of the brainwashed, for they are many, but they are weak.

A new aeon of knowledge approaches, a new awakening of mental prowess.

In the name of the truest and purest, let us cast out the teachings of christ, the sheep!

In the name of the sun that shines bright upon us everyday, let every man know, that this is horus, the third aeon, birthed from the mother isis, birthed of the father osiris!

Sun Worshippers! You All Are DEAD! YOUR BELIEFS CRUMBLE IN THE FACE OF TRUE KNOWLEDGE!

Let the preperation come to the children, to the deciples, who grow, and who are becoming many! For the doctrines approach us all!

In nomine SickTanicK.... Approaches You All, the next step in Evolution, one step away from the shadow.

Let us eat and drink of the 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 of babylon, for she is great, and mighty, let us suckle on the 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 until our bellys are fat and bloated, may we drink the blood of saints and martyrs!

For this is the teachings of the phrophet, and the prophet is the word, and the word is enlightenment!

Chapter 2 Is Coming.....

yeah, that's the key they shouldn't have a reason to hide things...
I guess she's more computer savvy then I thought she is because they blocked facebook and myspace from us at work and she showed me how to access it still, lol

I've got a follow-up to the NYTimes article I posted a link to recently on the Black Metal Theory Symposium in Brooklyn. I found a link to a poster for it in a completely surprising place(not in retrospect I guess, since it was a website filled with illegally uploaded cultural theory texts). The poster had a web address, and of course I went there.

I don't have time right now, but, I thought I would share my find since some of you might find it to be worth a look. I'd think that what they have to say might be interesting in relation to satanic horrorcore. It may just be boring academic drivel, but some of the topics look interesting.

Here's a taste of what the site links to:

Nicola Masciandaro - Anti-Cosmosis: Black Mahapralaya (audio)
Anthony Sciscione - ‘Goatsteps behind my steps’: Black Metal and Ritual Renewal (audio)

The part about that article I never understood is this:

The couple's friends were certain that McCroskey did not display any warning signals during his visit with the family. "He did not show up carrying a chainsaw and wearing a hockey mask," says Hodgson, a former police officer.

No, he just wrote songs about murder and posted pictures of himself posing as a murderer (including one in a hockey mask) on his MySpace.

That reminds me of the time back when I was about 17 that I went to spend a week with a friend after writing him a letter with the word "ACID" written in swirly colored pencil. I also mentioned my source, which was a neighbor of his. He left the letter sitting on his desk where my artwork caught his father's attention.

The parents didn't kill the planned visit and I didn't even know about his dad finding the letter until I was there, but my friend later told me they were concerned that I was a "bad influence." Like, Duh!

They had lived in Afghanistan up until the Soviet invasion, and they had seen a lot of folks on the old hippie trail, so they were cool, but at least knew to be wary. I think Emma's parents were probably taking a similar approach, but theirs was the 1% of the time that turns out to be a huge miscalculation.

I just read the"remarks on the politics of black metal" and it's a very hard read.I need help with it.
"Black Metal is the musical memory of our bloodthirsty ancestors of blood, it is the marriage of Tradition, of old racial patrimony with fanaticism, with the rage and the rashness of a youth now lost. It is a CHTONIAN religion: a cult of the EARTH and a return to it, therefore a nationalism; a cult of what is BELOW the earth: Hell — the adjective “chthonian” applies to the Infernal gods as well. BM is a fundamentalism, a music with integrity (from Latin integer, complete) which helps me to remain complete in a dying world, amidst a people in decay, unworthy of its blood. It is the apology of the dark European past. It is a psychosis which helps us to flee a reality we cannot tolerate anymore. "...this part I totally understand and agree with, but I don't understand a lot of the other things he brings up such as that black metal is always right wing ,I'm not even sure if he's arguing against that and I don't understand what his conclusion is? HELP !!!

What part of "We can also imagine a more sophisticated Deleuzoguattarian version of this argument: the deterritorialising or dematerialising effect of BM qua music requires a reterritorialising grounding, but only to produce a necessary site of radicalised intensification; after all, the nomad performs their deterritorialisation by staying in place." wasn't completely clear to you?

Really, for the most part, you need to be more concerned about that stuff making too much sense to you. Then you would really be lost. You have to remember, that a good 90%+ of what the academic world wallows in is complete bull****. You don't even get to go to conferences like that unless you've already proven your ability to make simple concepts completely impossible to follow when you discuss them. Notice in the quote above that the author doesn't even use standard English, but instead makes a politically motivated gender neutral misuse of the plural "their" to refer to something possessed by the singular nomad.

There's something called the Postmodernism Generator that creates a completely new randomly generated essay every time it loads. See if you can see any difference in that and the black metal essay.

Then there was the "Sokal Affair."
See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sokal_affair
There are a bunch of fun links in that wikipedia article.

"In 1996, Sokal, a professor of physics at New York University, submitted a paper for publication in Social Text, as an experiment to see if a journal in that field would, in Sokal's words: "publish an article liberally salted with nonsense if (a) it sounded good and (b) it flattered the editors' ideological preconceptions."[1] The paper argued that quantum gravity is a social and linguistic construct.
The paper, titled "Transgressing the Boundaries: Towards a Transformative Hermeneutics of Quantum Gravity",[2] was published in the Spring/Summer 1996 "Science Wars" issue of Social Text, which at that time had no peer review process, and so did not submit it for outside review.[3] On the day of its publication, Sokal announced in another publication, Lingua Franca, that the article was a hoax, calling his paper "a pastiche of left-wing cant, fawning references, grandiose quotations, and outright nonsense", which was "structured around the silliest quotations [he] could find about mathematics and physics" made by postmodernist academics."

That said, if you have patience and dig long and hard enough, there is a lot of interesting stuff that can emerge from the muck. That conference may or may not be a dead end. It's just a place to look, not a sure thing.

thank you blou ! I was feeling really dumb...I was trying hard to,now I have a headache...

...but I'm going back to that site, one thing is for sure the "black metal ideology" (never thought I'd say that) has a lot in common with the way at least sick thinks...

Heading into the Holidays again with me just gritting my teeth and waiting for it to be over. It's always a tough time of year...but through my anxiety yesterday I tried to think of others who have it WAY worse...like Sam's family and Sam and most importantly poor Mark's Mom, Debra's parents and Mel's family. This is still so fresh for them - my GOD it only happened in September.

It seems like forever for me because the information has been so slow to come out.

I just cried my eyes out yesterday because I lost my Dad 24 years ago on Dec. 22nd - STILL it hurts. I can't imagine the grief these families will have to go through.

I'm sure this Christmas will be (or Hanukkah or whatever they all celebrate) very, very difficult. It would be nice to be able to reach out and write them a letter of support.

By the way, Andres, did you ever get a letter out to Sam?

piXy - any way to get a message to Mel's family?

Just noting that this posting outlines some of the esoteric aspects of SickTanick's music and shows that Sam was at least aware of these posts. Now to what extent he dug deeper I can't say. But given that he replied to this posting, it seems preposterous to argue that he was completely unaware of the deeper and hidden messages in DoD Chapter 1.
