Okay, wait, there are two more people involved: Sage's roommate and an unnamed individual. Sage's roommate is deemed as a suspect because she used sage's food stamp cards right after she disappeared, and another was seen wearing her locket, but she denied ever being involved with sage and said it was her boyfriend who gave it to her.

if we are able to archive the pages somehow we could figure out who both are.

So, we've made some progress.

I have gotten my friend, who I will call O, involved. We decided we are working together to solve Sage Smith's case. We managed to find an online profile him on true person search, where we figured out that he is now 33, and what is linked is a phone number and an address to what appears to be his Charlottesville home. However, that page was posted in 2012, so he is most likely not living there anymore, but what we did find were two previous addresses of him---An address in Pennsylvania, and another in Maryland---His Maryland Address basically says he lived there in October of 2008 up to March of 2024, and we also managed to find his email (which most of us thought was untraceable) I will not release it right now, but we do not know If the address is active.

We do have his birthday, and it is circa March 1991. Again, this page has been up since May 2012, so take it with a grain of salt, since again we do not know if this is truly McFadden.

We'll keep more tabs on the situation as it goes on until McFadden is brought to justice---once we've managed to archive the facebook pages and got enough data, we'll be reporting it to the Charlottesville police.

UPDATE: It's confirmed that this is McFadden. I compared one of the old addresses to a segment of the Charley Project, where he attended Lincoln University from 2009 to 2011. So, without a doubt, the page we found is McFadden's.

I am not the greatest at researching via the internet, my excuse is I'm old, but I might chime in from time to time. If I can think of some other members who might be helpful, I will tag them here. we found a bit more on Sage's page on the true person search website: approximately three people were living in the same address, all of which listed this particular one: Harris Street. Suspect A (Food Stamp Card Suspect) and Suspect B (Locket suspect) also had their names registered under that address during the time of Sage's disappearance. There are I think one or two more who lived at that address (Individuals C and D) Who I believe were not roommates with Sage at the time.

Also, Suspects A and B I believe lived with Sage at the time of her disappearance. There's not much I can go off of besides that.

And if you're going to ask, "Are we going to report this to the police?" The answer is, yes. But, we'd have to tip them anonymously and gather enough substantial evidence to reopen the investigation and hopefully track McFadden. Right now we have more evidence that he's jumping from state to state, seen with his Maryland address (He lived there from October 2008 to March 2024...? It's a bit confusing, but he may have been in Charlottesville first THEN switched to Maryland) We don't know where he is now, but we're still trying to figure that out.

For the suspects, I think I may have an idea on who they are, but I accidentally broke a rule and I won't be name dropping. One of them was around 31 (19 when Sage disappeared) the other was 34 (around 25 when Sage disappeared) I'm going to call one of them suspect A, the food stamp card suspect. this person used sage's food stamp card a bit after she disappeared, and as for the other? one of them had taken her locket, but she denied it and said her boyfriend gave it to her. I have an idea on who they are, but I cant say names.

Me and O are currently making a file for the evidence and what we could gather. I'll try to keep up any updates and see where we're going from here. It's been relatively smooth sailing for the information searching, but its a bit confusing with suspects. We will also be contacting Sage's family soon.

Sorry for leaving y'all off so abruptly. I did make a little bit of progress---I checked some of sage's emails on haveibeenpwned---One of the emails was linked to a myspace account, though the user is unknown. I decided to insert the username of Sage's facebook (sagey.sounique) and it did pop up with an account, but unfortunately it's private. Not only did sage have facebook, she had a myspace account, which probably had a good chunk of evidence that we'll never see.

Again, we're still making small bits of progress. We managed to get info on McFadden and two possible roommates, but we still need to archive whatever social media these two had.

UPDATE: UHHH WE JUST FOUND OUT HIS PHONE NUMBERS STILL ACTIVE. SO. UM... YEAH.

okay, so regarding his phone number, it's active. It's actually active and its last use was on September of 2024, just this recently. no, I'm not going to call it for my safety, and O will NOT be calling the number for their safety.

so, tldr for the noobies here: McFadden's in Maryland, his phone numbers still active, and I think we just caught him. and oh my god, I cannot wait to see how this is going to go down. We're forwarding the information we found to the facebook group dedicated to her and uh... We'll let you know how it goes!

Update: we sent the message to the facebook group, but for privacy we didn't use our real names. We will see if the police will be involved after this. I'm going on a field day with this one!

So... the facebook group saw the message. No response yet, though.

we didn't really tell them about the other suspects since we are solely focused on Locating McFadden. Because his phone number had a usage, police might be able to track it to his current location. The number is still active, so I think its possible.

More updates will follow soon on the case. We've made quite a bit of progress in triangulating his position, and with an active number police can track him easily.

Editing to add: I don’t have a link right now, but I remember reading at one time that Sage’s scent was tracked to the back of UVA hospital where Jesse Matthews (convicted killer of Morgan Harrington and Hannah Graham) would have entered the hospital to work as a patient transporter. Some people thought he might have been involved in Sage’s disappearance but perhaps it was more coincidental than anything else.

This is down a different rabbit hole but I’m curious about Jessie Matthew.
He was driving a taxi cab when he picked up Morgan Harrington in 2010 and killed her.
I wonder if he was still driving the cab in 2012 when Sage went missing or if there is any chance he was involved.
He killed Hannah Graham in 2014.
Sage disappeared in between these two murders so we know that Matthew graduated from rape/ sexual assault to rape and murder before Sage disappeared.
This was definitely Jessie’s stomping ground.
Both of the murdered girls were picked up a 4 minute drive from where Sage was last seen.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Jessie killed others in the 4 years between Morgan and Hannah’s murders.
Maybe they can check Jessie’s digital footprint??

Tbh, finding mcfadden was easy since true persons search is like heaven on earth. We managed to find out that he lived in Joppa County (MD) from October 2008 to march 2024 (pretty recently) so we can assume he fled the state. As for his phone number, its active and was used on September 2024.

Her remains will most likely be skeletal by the time they discover them. it takes a bit for a body to decompose, so I'm not sure if her's will still have any soft tissue left.

We also managed to find Sage's profile, and it led us to a page of roommates and associates. Since we need to figure out who used her Stamp card and who took her locket, we only took careful looks at those who are around... Eh, 31-33. We closed in on some, but they're either still in Virginia but not in Charlottesville or moved to other states.
