If not for leaving the inheritance, she seems like a good candidate for starting a new life. I wish there was more information on the vehicle, driver and situation where she just gets out of her friends car when they reach the highway and gets into another car. That sounds prearranged to me, and as if her friends likely knew about it.

It would be pretty odd to have your friend just yell STOP HERE on the highway, and jump out of the car, right?

I wonder what happened to the investment property when she disappeared? Someone must have eventually taken possession of it?
