This has to be the most rule-outs for a single person, right? I know Virginia is really proactive with comparisons but this is completely insane! I think it's a safe bet that this man was never reported missing.

I’m not sure of the exact number at this time (I have locked myself out of NamUs ) but I know it is more than 1,800.

It went down? I based my number off an old screenshot (looked like it was after NamUs switched from identifyus.org to its current web address) that had 1,806. I was under the impression that exclusions don’t get removed if a missing person is located because I’ve seen a lot of old ones that are still up, but it that just due to poor maintenance?

The fact that they're listing both Hispanic or Asian as options tells me they haven't done in depth DNA work on this Doe. That they're probably relying on skull morphology for his racial profile.

Bobby Whitt was thought to be Hispanic for many years, until his DNA showed he was Korean and white, and that he was the child of a Jane Doe from another state. That work led quickly to their identification, and the identification of their killer, Bobby's father.

Someone needs to do a proper investigation of this Doe's DNA, because obviously the 'run him against everyone' approach isn't working.

It’s possible that the number has decreased. I’ve noticed a few cases from VA where there used to be hundreds of rule outs and they went down to way less or even 0. I am quite curious to know why that happened.

Is it possible there were rule-outs based on something that now can’t be used anymore to be ruled-out? Like a rule-out option that has proven to be not fool proof and now forbidden to use or something like that? And that those ruled out that way have been dismissed?
