Found Deceased VA - Floyd Hines Jr., 47, Glade Spring, Washington County, 29 Dec 2018

The Washington County VA Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing person. According to Washington County Sheriff Fred Newman, Washington County deputies were notified by a family member that the individual had been missing since approximately 11:30 pm, Saturday, December 29, 2018.

Floyd K. Hines Jr., white male, age 47, of 16261 South Fork River Road, Glade Spring, was last seen near his residence late that night. The investigation has revealed that Hines was working on a vehicle out in his garage where he was last seen after finishing for the night and leaving the garage. At approximately 1:30 am Mr. Hines wife attempted to contact him by text and he did not respond. Hines was reported missing early Monday morning.

A ground search was conducted by Black Diamond Search and Rescue team. A river search was also conducted by the Washington County Lifesaving Crew. Both searches resulted in the individual not being located.

Son's address is same as father's. Home is located 300 feet from a river.

UPDATE: Body found in river identified as missing Glade Spring man

The Washington County, Virginia Sheriff's Office says the body of 47-year-old Floyd K. Hines was located in the river Monday afternoon near Alvarado Station.
