-snip-
Eventually they focused on Lawlor, 43, searching his apartment late Wednesday for a blunt instrument that could have been used to kill Orange, as well as jewelry missing from her apartment.
-snip-

-snip-
Fairfax County police think Lawlor killed Orange in her apartment last month, possibly by hitting her on the head with a hammer
-snip-

-snip-
Police seized Lawlor's computer, cellphone and 13 keys, but they and Morrogh declined to discuss any evidence that they thought might directly incriminate Lawlor.
-snip-

Notably Fairfax Commonwealth Raymond F. Morrogh, is prosecuting the case himself.

I was made aware to day that in the state of VA. If you are arrested for any reason, the state can keep your DNA on file. As we know he has recently been arrested for drug charges as well as in the past, I am making the assumption that is how it is on file.

I sincerely hope they are running Lawlor's prints through AFIS, CODIS and any local LE that they find from his background while I am typing this.
Blink.....! Now isn't that strange. I saw a hammer in my head (remember my post?) the minute I read this story. I also tended to think it was a handy man in the apartment. I cannot get over this.....how this man had keys to all these apartments. I hope that many others sue the leasing company as well.

Fav book: "A Time To Kill". CSI Fan. Fav movie: "Say Anything". His line: "are you there??"

He probably used this one a lot when entering people's apartments when they were not home. (shudders)

The movie Say Anything is all about an underachiever with his sights set on the Valedictorian who is out of his league. He pursues her and finally wins.

The Book, A Time To Kill written by John Grisham deals with the rape of a ten year old girl. Her father kills one of the accused and wounds the other. He is subsequently found not guilty by reason of insanity and is freed. (It also gets into heavy race issues.)

HR much appreciation for finding his MySpace! I looked, but didn't find it.

It is as if Lawlor just didn't exist before 1998 or 1999. And, even at that, there's just nothing about him at all. He's downright creepy.

There is no way this guy kept his nose clean until he was 33 and then went into this kind of a spree. We are in the wrong state pre 1998.

HR, I agree. I just have no idea where he was or what name he was using before 1998. Before then, he could slightly change the spelling of his name or slightly change a SS number and virtually disappear.

Hello All~
I have been reading this post daily but have only posted once. I totally agree w/ the above comment. He has to have a criminal history before the age of 33. Whether he had been caught, I do not know. But, I believe he committed criminal acts long before his 33rd birthday.

We are, this is as hinky, fly under the radar, as it gets..

As we discussed, I am finding info several states away..

He has more than a few name spellings and other.. Bizarre

At a a minmum, I am outraged this man had access; you will never be able to convince me otherwise.. NO-ONE checked his background and gave him keys- deplorable!

His DNA information was in the databank because in 1999 he pleaded guilty in the abduction of his ex-girlfriend from her Great Falls home and was sentenced to six years in prison.

Lawlor's record since his March 2004 release from prison shows he was continually treated for drug and alcohol abuse and mental health problems. Twice, he violated his probation and was re-incarcerated for short periods, most recently in July 2007. But by the fall of 2007, he was back in a Fairfax ADS program called "Steps to Recovery," had maintained sobriety and kept up with treatment, and was placed in transitional housing, according to a January court update.

I find it interesting when people who have been incarcerated for that period of time come out as drug addicted alcoholics. Tells me that this is where we should find some prior convictions. This would probably be a longtime habitual thing for him.

Why don't you fill us in, Blink? Hint hint

As usual, SS, your a step ahead of me, I was literally starting this post when I saw yours crop up...

Unfortunately I am out of town without access this weekend, but here's what I know in case you can run down any records here:

1034 S Jackson St Louisville Kentucky 40203

3524 Brockton Ln Louisville Kentucky 40220

He is non-existant in VA prior to 98'. At least with that name.
As explained to me yesterday, the VA "record" system goes by each individual county. Not sure yet about KY. I have a few other leads in another state but can't confirm yet. These addresses correspond with his DOB.

ETA: Middle name is spelled Eric in court docs, I think there are a few versions of this.
If I were renting an apartment in VA, or any state that apparently can offer "transitional housing" without disclosure to other tenants, I would be on the phone with the Property Management Co and demand to know if that was the case in my building.
He is a violent offender who failed VASP regs in the past, I do not get it.

I cant say it enough, we saw this with Hser Moo, possibly Jenn Kesse case- KNOW WHO YOUR NEIGHBORS ARE!! Assume there is a fox in the hen house and work backwards to protect your safety.
