Details of Disappearance
Alvarez was last seen in Harrisonburg, Virginia on December 31, 2016. She was driving her gray 2011 Hyundai. She has never been heard from again. At 1:00 p.m. on January 1, the Hyundai was found wrecked and abandoned in a ravine in the 3400 block of Bust Head Road outside The Plains, Virginia.

Investigators identified a person of interest in Alvarez's disappearance, a Hispanic male whose first name is believed to be Ceasar. He may use the alias name Pepe. A photo of Ceasar is posted with this case summary. The circumstances of Alvarez's case are unclear and her disappearance remains unsolved.

UPDATED: Police seeking witnesses to mystery crash

The Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s help in identifying two witnesses who may have been the first to find a crashed vehicle belonging to a missing Rockingham

<<On Sunday, Jan. 1 a bicyclist came upon two men on motorcycles on Bust Head Road in northern Fauquier near The Plains. The two bikers had stopped at the site where Genoveba Ortega Alvarez’s car was found in a ravine on Bust Head Road. The bicyclist and the two motorcyclists spoke briefly and the motorcycles left, heading south on Bust Head Road toward Hopewell Road, according to authorities.

Not long after, Deputy Joy Weaver responded to a single vehicle crash, arriving to find an unoccupied 2011 gray Hyundai off the roadway in a curve.>>

<<One of the bikers wore gear described as one-piece winter riding apparel, color unknown. The motorcycles are vaguely described as dual purpose, Enduro type, bikes possibly a KLR 650 model or similar type model motorcycle, color unknown.>>

if Genoveba was abducted from the accident site, it’s possible this unidentified female found in Texas in March of 2018 could be her.

Unfortunately, one or more limbs, one or more hands and the torso was not recovered from unidentified female so height and weight could not be determined. Her remains were down an embankment along a bridge crossing in Huffman, TX. Sounds like she may have been deceased and then thrown out of a moving vehicle with intentions of throwing her into the lake. (MOO)

Hair color matches exactly down to the reddish brown with 3-4 inches of dark roots. They both have thick eyeliner with wings.
