I can tell you that in many communities there would be an uproar if the local government wanted to put in surveillance cameras. There are many, many people who are adamantly opposed to them. Privacy rights and government surveillance have been some of the main arguments against red light cameras as well. Plus, they cost money and in this age of people wanting lower taxes ..... Not saying any of these issues are right or wrong, just that they exist and that's what the local government has to deal with.
I should also add that the police chief was visibly frustrated about lack of cameras at presser yesterday ... seemed like it is something he's been pushing for.

Can we lay off Dreadlocks Guy? He's not the right man.

Respectfully, no. We cannot lay off. And I hope LE explores all options here. The dreads guy deliberately crosses the courtyard and follows her at a distance after seeing her. It's right there in the video. Until he is identified and interviewed by police we have to consider his movements that are captured on tape to be at the very least suspicious.

I am curious if LE has talked to the two women who walk in the opposite direction of dreads guy and pass him. He appears to talk to or try to stop them just out of the camera's view on the left of the screen. This interaction may be very important.

I'm gonna withhold further commentary on these videos until more info is released. Frustrated. LOL

The white guy who comes out from behind and follows her in the mall.

LOL I won't incriminate myself too much but I'm white and in my younger days I would buy from whoever - and it was never a "gotta have it" thing, always rec.

You know what I mean though. Often times folks assume the interaction with a different race involves the purchase of drugs. Not always true.

Your post made me laugh. :)

If she did go out because of a soroity thing, wouldnt someone have said something by now?

No they wont because they think they are going to jail. Young adults are naïve like that.

I do not see that on the video. I simply don't.

There were no events on 9/13 at that outdoor pavillion near where Hannah was last seen.

That is true that he is not recognizable to us from the videos but I suspect the FBI has better equipment and could get better images. Also, I think had he not come forward after release of the videos there would've been an all out manhunt for him and if he's smart he knows that and he had to come forward to avoid that, makes him look less suspicious coming forward. Of course this is purely speculative. He may have been well intentioned as he's said and there may be a black male as he's indicated. I hope they get more witness testimony and more video from the area.

The second video from the jewelry store, it is very hard to make out.. .but it looks like a woman to me that is with her. (This was what LE initially said... a guy following her with a girl up front walking with her). I don't think there is any video released showing a black male. That reference might be only coming from the white guy when he was interviewed. I wil lcheck to see what other businesses are after Sal's Italian and Teul Jewelry who might have more video along that way. (that's my 2 cents worth)

You and me both (frustrated that is). I cannot seem to see all these people on the videos that everyone else is seeing. I have yet to see anyone in the foregroud of any of the videos. I only see Hannah and the white older guy and then a group of younger guys. I do not see 2 women or a man with dreadlocks. I still don't understand why in this day and age, we cannot get better, clearer surveillance video? WTH, my smart phone takes better videos and I bet it cost a whole lot less than any surveillance these restaurants have! smh

If Hannah kept going (left in the video) what other places would she have passed? If either of these men are in the same video, it's time to blow the pic up and show it around. Hopefully some videos from businesses along that path will be helping. I know these officers don't need my help! They are doing fine.

Watch the two women pass from right to left. Dreads guy appears to raise his hand as he enters the frame on the left as of to talk to them. They walk past.

Now watch dreads guy. He crosses the courtyard and ends up behind the group of men who are following behind Hannah. He is not with them but is a few paces behind. He changed directions and deliberately followed after seeing her from the other side of the walk.

Several different articles this morning are saying that the black guy she was talking to is NOT on the videos that were released, so I think all this looking we're doing is probably moot.

And I think those articles are dead wrong. JMO.

Concerning the question about whether or not she was drugged, I don't believe she was. I was drugged at a bar a few years ago. I went from dancing and having a slight buzz, to being completely immobile in no time at all. I was literally in a ball on the floor and couldn't make myself move at all. I definitely wouldn't have been able to walk for miles afterwards. Jmo.

A question: Are we certain she was going to another party? Where did that info come from? All I saw about where she was going when she left the first party was home. Did I miss something? TIA.

Can we lay off Dreadlocks Guy? He's not the right man.

From the Daily Mail article, quoting the Charlottesville Police, bolding by me:

A statement issued by the CPD said: ‘At 10:15 pm the unidentified white male in the videos came to the police department.
‘He told police that he was following Ms. Graham as she looked to be somewhat physically distressed and he wanted to make sure she got safely to wherever she was going.
‘Soon after he was following her, he said that a black male came up to her and put his arm around her, stopping her.
‘Ms. Graham and this black male started speaking and it appeared to the witness that the black male was either known to Ms. Graham or was trying to help her.
‘The witness then walked away and he said that Ms. Graham and the black male were still standing and talking when he left.
The black male is not shown in either of these videos

Carbuff he is lying. check his 1st statement ,then his last. there was no black guy in any video . If so he would have been walking the streets.. thers a camera that caught both her and this white guy.. another showing for other direction showing her. So he is lying.

Depending on how the video clip you looked at was edited, they might have cut out the first part, which is where Dreadlock Guy and the two chicks are seen. They're in the foreground and very obvious (and truthfully all I can make out clearly besides the umbrellas :D) and I think some places have snipped that part out because it was confusing people.

This article has individual frames snipped and highlighted, so it's easier to follow: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ing-teen-followed-stumbled-deserted-mall.html

To me she seemed to have been walking very purposefully like she knew exactly where she was going and whom she was meeting, maybe she asked the doorman if he'd seen whomever she was looking for. Seems to me that she was very dressed up (maybe that's the way girls dress) just to hang out with females ? She did seem a bit disoriented, but she walked quite a distance and no matter how much you drink eventually you sober up. In what kind of way did the creeper guy see her in distress?
