I see Mary Everette Harrison, missing from Hampton (fairly close to Hayes, VA). She would've been 31 at the time of her disappearance in 1982. There's so much water in this area (York River, Chesapeake Bay, etc.) it's certainly not beyond the scope of reality for a body to have been dumped and a skull detach and wash up somewhere else on the coast.
