‘Not knowing is the worst part’: Family searching for answers in disappearance of New Kent woman

Last seen by her husband.

In the article, her son says:

"It all happened a day after Valentine’s on Feb. 15. Davis says his stepfather was the last person to see Orr at her residence in the 8900 block of Tunstall Road at approximately 7 p.m.

“Mom left home sometime between six or seven that evening and said she was just running up the street, and that’s the last time anybody has seen or heard from her,” said Davis. “The not knowing is the worst part.”

It also states her vehicle has Ohio tags.
And she is 5’3”.

Since her car is gone too, I have hope she drove off somewhere and perhaps had a car breakdown or emergency.

Ms. Joan Marie Orr has not been seen by her family since she left her residence located in the 8900 block of Tunstall Rd. at approximately 7:00 pm on February 15, 2020. She left in a gray 2013 Ford Escape bearing Virginia registration WSG-1153. It is unknown what Ms. Orr’s direction of travel or ultimate destination is. Ms. Orr does have certain medical conditions that require medication, and it is believed that she is not currently in possession of those medications.

The New Kent Sheriff’s Office asks that Ms. Joan Marie Orr contact this office and/or her family, if possible, to advise of her whereabouts and her condition.

I reread her FB page, that was linked in OP: Joanie Orr. I wanted to see if there were any hints that I missed the first time. Joanie posted a photo of her grandson on Feb 15th, the day she was last seen, at 2:48 pm. She replied to a comment under that post at 3:23 pm. She sounded alert and clear-thinking, although Joanie could have had a medical emergency while driving. I'm just surprised that in 2 months, Joanie hasn't been found, nor has her vehicle been found.

Her vehicle...that keeps crossing my mind as well. I’m always surprised how long vehicles remain missing or undiscovered.

Just checking on this. They said she said she was just running up the street. So if she told her husband that I'm sure she told him why she was just running up the street. Even if I'm just running up the street I tell my husband where I'm going.
