So team Depp has 26 minutes for rebuttal and team Heard has 6 minutes.

Elaine whined to the judge and said can you give us more because of the sidebar objections and the judge said ' No, we took no time off for those'
I had no idea we listened to JD team for two hours already. It went so fast. AH team -- seemed like an eternity.

YES, Camille hitting upon Amber REPUBLISHING the OP ED on her own Twitter account, to a new audience.

"Today I published this OP ED in the NY Post. "

That^^^ is enough evidence that she republished w/content.

Johnny Depp's lawyer: 'The time has come for lies to come to an end'

Camille Vasquez, representing Johnny Depp, addresses the jury for the second time today.

"Ms Heard lied to you," she says and adds that Heard's lawyers have "mischaracterised" several testimonies, including those from police officers and an Aquaman producer.

"Ms Heard lied. And she lied again, and she kept lying," Ms Vasquez tells the court. She says Heard lied when she first accused Depp of abuse and also lied about donating her divorce settlement to charity, and then again in her Washington Post column.

"She's come too far. She can't back down. She's lied too many times to too many people. So when Mr Depp finally decided to fight, to clear his name… Ms Heard responded by making up more and more stories of more and more extreme abuse."

Ms Vasquez says Heard's accusation that Depp "raped her with a bottle in Australia" was a new claim.

"She keeps making new claims up even now," the lawyer tells the court, saying that an allegation by the actress that Depp sexually assaulted her on her 30th birthday was said for the first time in this trial.

Ms Vasquez says Heard's story keeps changing and she "cannot take any responsibility for what she has done".

"You've watched her performance on the stand.

"The time has come for those lies to come to an end."

We wanted to send a message: 'Look at what you've done to her'

Amber Heard's lawyer Elaine Bredehoft says the statements made by Johnny Depp's attorney Adam Waldman - which are the reason Heard is countersuing Depp - "took on a life of its own".

Ms Bredehoft says they have "followed her everywhere" and that Heard has lost several work opportunities.

Aquaman was Heard's "opportunity" her "blockbuster", Ms Bredehoft says, but as it was coming out, "everything shut down".

Heard's lawyer reminds the jury of previous testimony by an expert who predicted the actress's career trajectory, saying she could have earned up to $50m in the following years "instead of her star being completely extinguished".

Ms Bredehoft says the jury also needs to consider "emotional distress damages" and says these are "even more extreme".

"Every time she is called a liar... it causes her to relive all of it," Ms Bredehoft says.

She says this has "destroyed" Heard's life and "consumed her".

Speaking about trolling of the actress, the lawyer says: "She's getting death threats. They're threatening to put her daughter in a microwave for God's sakes. She can't get away from this...

"No human being should be put through this."

Ms Bredehoft tells the jury that when Depp sued for $50m, they wanted to "send a message back" to sue for $100m "because look at what you've done to her".

She tells the jury they are not necessarily being asked to award $100m but wants them to be "fair and reasonable".
Is EB gonna tear her own blouse open and stab herself for more "drama"?

Histrionic failure

'Ms Heard was never going to stop calling him an abuser'

Johnny Depp's lawyer Camille Vasquez reminds the court of what was said during their opening statements, delivered when the trial started back in April - that "words matter".

This case is about Heard's words in her Washington Post op-ed, she adds.

Ms Vasquez tells the court she agrees with the importance of free speech. "I'm a lawyer, of course I agree with that. But the First Amendment doesn't protect lies that hurt and defame people."

She says Heard has no right to "tell the world that Mr Depp physically or sexually assaulted her when that isn't true".

She says it is a "core value of American society that you are innocent until proven guilty".

"A person's life cannot and should be destroyed by a baseless charge... that's why Mr Depp had to bring this claim. Ms Heard was never going to stop calling him an abuser."

Ms Vasquez says this trial was the only way to "clear his name" and have Heard's "lies exposed".
