How do you feel the jury will decide?

She does. She is stunning. Amber is probably jealous of her beauty.

Probably because she has huge contracts with Chanel and has modeled for the Iconic Greats (Karl Lagerfeld) and others.

IF her homeowner's insurance was used to pay her legal fees then WHY hasn't she actually DONATED to CHLA??!!

IMO, he is an idiosyncratic sweetheart, albeit imperfect; it is in a very human and understandable way.

I also wouldn’t be shocked if when he finally passes, a lot of people report an outpouring equivalent to that of Chadwick Boseman, who did homey little things like send emails to his director illustrating diet and exercise advice … he’s just simply not a grand person who puts on airs.

I agree he would most likely receive that equivalence. He is so humble about his accomplishments. His authenticity is what I think we humans all hope for in others. Id rather have one authentic friend over 100 that aren't.

We will never know just how many people he has made smile, it’s far reaching.

From the beginning of his testimony, Depp emphasised that he brought the lawsuit to “clear my name,” for his sake and that of his children, Lily-Rose, 22, and Jack, 20, as well as for those in the movie industry who trusted him.

“When [Johnny Depp] stepped off the stand, I think he already won based on his definition of winning,” Texas civil lawyer Katherine Lizardo told the New York Post.
“Because he already obtained the favour of the court of public opinion … once he told his story.”

I agree with this and I think that could be part of the reason JD was relaxed most of the time in court. He most likely felt relief from the moment he walked in. He wanted the truth to be told directly from him. Simultaneously it proved that she is liar. I can’t imagine how horrible it was to live with her.

During closing arguments, BR said twice that JD's mother calling him one-eye hurt him more than the blows (paraphrasing). What point was BR trying to make. It's been bugging me all weekend. TIA

I thought BC said that in reference to the things JD had to suffer and endure from his childhood? I could be mistaken.

Like BC and CV said in the closing arguments, there is no "Me, too!" in this story. No one else has ever accused him of the type of sexual harassment or sexual abuse that those who spoke up during #MeToo outlined. How can this case have any relevance for the #MeToo movement?

Her Op Ed was supposedly about her speaking out about sexual violence, though, so she WAS trying to connect it to that movement. She was chasing activist/political clout, in my opinion.

I think the jury can see the connection here. If she had to consult a super lawyer about removing JD's name, then it was clearly about him initially directly, then indirectly by implication.

Also, I have huge doubts AH ever went to college. She was a high school dropout, remember? Then she was pursuing her modeling/acting dreams since 17 in LA. I think this was another of her lies about having a SV experience pre/during college. It's a way to pad the Op Ed. JMO. Now, I am not saying she never had a SV experience, how could I know? I'm just side-eyeing the 'college' part of it.

Absolutely. I have replayed video clips over and over just for a giggle.

That verbal abuse is just as damaging as physical abuse.

Lawyer warns Amber Heard she could face jail over perjury claims in her case against Johnny Depp

I doubt that she will be charged, but when you think about it, she has basically committed perjury in three different countries: US, UK and Australia. If there are no consequences for such blatant acts, how does anyone truly feel the compulsion to tell the truth under oath in a court proceeding?

I don't think anyone is going to levy charges in Australia or UK.

But if she perjurs herself in this current testimony, how is it handled?

Who levy's charges?

Does it have to come from the judge to begin with or could the jurors bring it up?

Regarding the UK performance there are reports that those that came to see Beck and are not Depp fans were not happy as he really took over the show. I will say this is being reported in lots of media and if a juror caught a bit of it have to wonder what they would think. I guess they are not supposed to look at anything.
Got a link?

My impression was that he was always intended to be participating as a guest in the Jeff Beck tour, which is why he can't be in attendance for the verdict.

Johnny Depp leaves cares of the courtroom behind as he makes surprise UK tour

From the Court TV reporter Chanley Painter:

A source close to #JohnnyDepp tells me - “Mr. Depp is in the United Kingdom, as he was a few weeks ago, to adhere to his previously scheduled work obligations” AKA @jeffbeckmusic tour

I guess JD had nothing to do with those contracts either?

I'm sure they probably only talked to one guest and they claimed anonymity lol

ETA I can only assume OP thought AH was being discussed as having contracts with Chanel, not LRD having them ?

With his daughter getting the contracts? I’m not following your question.

This is why Lily-Rose Depp is such an excellent ambassador for the next generation of J12 aficionados. Not only is she the same age as the watch, but she has also grown up in the House of Chanel. Her mother, the French singer, model, and actress Vanessa Paradis, has been a spokesmodel for Chanel since 1991.
