Thanks to everyone for the good company and comments!

Will be interesting to see what happens with the pledged donations and whether there will be any legal repercussions, potential perjury in UK court, breach of promise etc. I bet JD foresaw the situation when he attempted to make payments directly.

They were okayed not to show up by judicial motion; he had a concert tour in the UK; and as of yesterday, they were also saying she wouldn’t show up either. Today’s appearance on her part was a huge about-face.

Plus, that was his mulleted local security guy behind Camille and Ben outside. Clearly someone had been worried about any or all participants’ safety, IMO.

I'm glad he got on with his life and wasn't hesitantly hanging around court for constant side by side media views of his and Amber's faces. He said what he had to say, he moved on, and that's that. He was willing to accept the verdict, and even if he had not won he would not have posted a bunch of nanny nanny booboo stuff like Amber is doing.

Agreed! JD is an INFP personality as I am as well. We take our commitments very seriously and if he committed to be there for Beck he would not back out… Also, I’ve never met another INFP that is a narcissist, I suppose it’s possible but it’s very rare. Notice in all his writing he never forgets to thank Everyone!! That quack on the stand was the worst expert ever….Narcissist, lol, AH is the narcissist…. I think they truly believe the world should revolve around their head…

Here’s to the truth and justice prevailing today!

Megapints of coffee have been consumed in my house since I’ve been awake since 4.00am this morning to catch the verdict live and it was well worth it!!

I knew a verdict would come. Power outage here due to a storm. It just came back on. Off to catch up here but saw the verdict on CNN

What 'mountian of evidence'. The jury, judge hell the whole world has seen your 'evidence', and decided it was all lies.
I cannot believe she is still blaming this decision again on how 'poweful' he is.
I say she will appeal this. Don't know how that works in civil cases and especially in America, I am from Ireland.
I just hope she gets the help she needs. She has a tiny human being looking up to her for the rest of her life, so I hope she has learned from this and move on, and be the best possilbe mother that adorable baby needs.
I have the same wish as you but I am not sure she learned much. Her statement indicates she learned nothing. Maybe it will sink in later.

But I think the opposite will happen. She will double down and double down again, IMO. I think she is just getting started. The ACLU is still having her as their Ambassador and I predict she will be making appearances for thEM AND WILL USE THIS VERDICT AS PROOF that powerful toxic men are still abusing her.

Ignore CNN's description. lol It's better than what they said.

I imagine there are a few Hollywood actress ex-wives who are viewing this verdict with dismay. I can think of at least one who may need to give up her campaign of false accusations.

On the news a journalist asked “do you think people learned today that DV happens to men too”, the correspondent said “I think what people should learn from today is that you don’t lie”

Several are commenting on her being a terrible witness, she’s not credible and she is conniving. All are commenting on her lies.

She pulled all of that off while managing to be put together and without a tear on her cheek. Every outfit was strategic, including the hair. Today it seems she wanted to appear gentle and vulnerable, a break from her more masculine tailored suits.

The only person Amber ever accused of domestic violence is Johnny Depp. Any future reference to being a survivor would again implicate Johnny Depp, and we would have a whole new trial, possibly. She has to zip it, no book for her, no tell-all. Any reference to her being abused will be again attributed to Johnny Depp as the perpetrator, IMO!!

Also, her statement is still blaming him and accusing him, IMO

Frankly, this is her only real chance to try to recover her reputation ( as she sees it). If she can hornswoggle the ACLU to continue to keep her as their Ambassador she has to keep on the same false narrative. Twisting and turning words and thoughts in ways that only true narcissists can do.

She will be risking her career, but it will only make her seem more earnest to her accolytes who need to keep on with woke narratives, regardless of the validity of the statements that underly them.

She's always traded on her looks, her body, and her sexual appeal and I don't see that changing. Dyscoherent statements while playing arm candy for another rich man?

Truth and Sunlight prevails!
We all saw the same trial, and the expected outcome.
Funny how things get twisted, isn't it?

Playing music with the best musicians in the world--that is his future.

Is Johnny Depp really good at guitar? Does he play bass, rhythm or lead?

The Guardian weighs in:

In text messages to friends, Johnny Depp fantasized about murdering his then-wife, the actress Amber Heard. “I will 🤬🤬🤬🤬 her burnt corpse afterwards to make sure she’s dead,” Depp wrote. In other texts, he disparaged his wife’s body in luridly misogynist terms. “Mushy pointless dangling overused floppy fish market,” he called her.

The texts became public as part of Depp’s defamation suit against Heard, now at trial in a Virginia court. Ostensibly, Depp is suing over a 2018 articlethat Heard published in the Washington Post, titled “I spoke up against sexual violence – and faced our culture’s wrath.” In the piece, the actress writes, “Two years ago, I became a public figure representing domestic abuse.” The article does not mention Depp, but his lawyers say that the piece was about him – and was defamatory. For those 11 words, Depp is seeking $50m.

A jury thought he deserved it.

He is EXCELLENT. He plays rhythm when with Beck because it's Beck.Perhaps best lead guitarist there is.

Johnny sings lead vocals and is very good.

When JD came to Hollywood , his plan was to be a rock guitarist. He played in a band but was flat broke. He met Nicholas Cage who told him that he should try acting and he helped him break into it. But music was always his dream.

Unfortunately I believe she will go to even greater lengths to become the face and advocate for anything that she can attach herself to that is victim related. Her revenge runs deep, she will be driven by it in pursuit of getting the last word.

Im glad part of what they mentioned today was that she and her friends staged a set up for Johnny. That’s cruel, especially knowing his typical gentle demeanor. He must have felt like he was living in a war zone, afraid to come out of the foxhole.

I agree. And, if JD was invited to come and tour with Jeff Beck, it must have been a huge high honor and privilege to play with his like. This tour was not just a commitment...but an honor

I didn't see it as a backlash to "Me Too", but an affirmation that women who have truly been victimized don't have to be lumped in with those who weren't. It validates and elevates the definition of a true "Me Too" movement. JMO
