I've been a Depp fan since the 80's. I don't know anything about Heard except what I've read in SM and MSM. I've no opinion yet as to blame. But, am compelled to say what I've seen and heard from Depp so far is disgusting. Just my opinion and not subject to discussion.

DV victims excuse and cover for their abusers. We are all very aware of that dynamic in DV relationships. my own take, JD was plagued with guilt and shame for having gotten himself into this crazy situation with a crazy making narcissist. I know far more than I wish to about trying to navigate a relationship with one of those. Reactive abuse is a real thing. I myself have been guilty of it. JMO

So typical of alcoholics/addicts to never take responsibility for their behavior. That they are under the influence during destructive actions does not excuse them.

There it is again..... the 'C' word.....
Fact: JD used the 'C' word.....
Fact: JD abused drugs and alcohol
Moving on.....

Exactly .. we've been shown that the 'C' word is used by him frequently in good and bad conversations. Not all people use the same words and this is one he uses. We've heard it and don't care.

The drug and alcohol use is not new info .. watch any one of his interviews and that type of question or information usually comes out in at least one question.

This guy, Rottenborn, is reaching for straws

Amber Heard's team now reads a text sent by Johnny Depp to his private doctor, Doctor Kipper in March 2015.

In it Depp talks about Heard's "ambition" and says that's why he was probably "acquired" (seeming to mean she only got into a relationship with him to increase her fame).

He also writes in it: "I cut the top of my middle finger off".

Heard's lawyer says this shows the actor injured himself, rather than his finger being injured by Heard throwing a vodka bottle as him as Depp now claims. Depp replies: "It's just the way it was worded, I didn't literally cut the top of my finger off".

He says as an avid guitar player, he would never intentionally cut his fingers off.

It will be interesting to see how AH handles herself on cross . For she is used to getting her way & bringing the drama lies IMO.

AH counsel - your honor I'm trying to move this along but with objections to relevance . . .

as if AH counsel had not spent several days objecting to every other word from JD's counsel [insert huge eyeroll]

The defense is just going with audio and text as questioning JD on stand yields no straight answers...he just goes on live streaming his fantasy life. I am disgusted that he can smart off to the defense atty and nothing is said by this judge...is she star struck too? As for that compact...if you take a look at their products the packing is all the same compacts from 2013/2015 and 2017 all look the same. They still do today.

I've haven't been following this case (aside from watching a few 'highlights') but I just started watching the trial today so I'm interested to see this train wreck unfold live.

Johnny Depp is shown a text sent in January 2014 in which he talks about "a shocking discussion with Vanessa that lasted 5+ hours".

Singer and actress Paradis is his ex-partner, and mother of his two children LR and J.

The text says "now LR hates me because she thinks I'm drinking and she's right".

The court is being played audio clips again. In one we hear Heard and Depp talking in raised voices. Heard's lawyer asks Depp if we hear him say "I will never be clean and sober".

Depp says he believes he actually says: "I've never been clean and sober."

A second clip has the couple arguing again, and a tearful sounding Heard saying: "All the coke you've done today, and all the booze you've drunk today, has it helped us?"

Depp answers "I've just got the coke."

Heard replies: "Yesterday, you were a thousand times better."

Train wreck is perfect description. And, here we are, unable to take our eyes off it.

I watched clips of Heard’s deposition. Rottenborn rapid fired the same way then as he is now at trial. I’m sure Depp was prepared for this, as well as his attorneys.

The court is shown a text message sent by Johnny Depp to Amber Heard's mother Paige in August 2014.

In it he writes: "There's no luckier man on this earth to have the strength that Amber gives me...

"Your daughter has risen far about the nightmarish task of taking care of this poor old junkie...

"Suffice to say I have never loved a woman or a thing more. She has the strength of a thousand men. And that is due to no one or nothing but you sweetheart."

He signs off the text, "your son outlaw".

IMO Heard is lovin any opportunity to bring the name “Vanessa” into her court narrative. Her jealousy of beautiful talented Vanessa that JD has children with… is showing.
Hope the jury realizes nothing is off limits when AH sets out to destroy another person.

If the court allows all these media and press articles in, discussing JD in any matter.....we are in for weeks of testimony. Just speculating here...

This civil trial is longer than some murder trials.

Amber Heard's lawyer says that there were "numerous negative news stories" about Depp in the years prior to November 2018, which is when Heard wrote the Washington Post op ed, over which this court case has been raised.

Depp agrees this is correct, but says the negative press was initiated after a temporary restraining order was filed against him by Heard on 27 May 2016.

This day was also his daughter LR’s birthday and the premiere of his film Alice Through the Looking Glass. Depp has previously referred to Heard's timing as "cruel".

The couple finalised their divorce on 13 January 2017.
