No, I think you are right; because one of the commenters on CourtTV said something the other day about the SA, and I was thinking, Hey, we haven't heard/had any questions about SA, really... again, I know it was brought up in the UK case, so not a surprise for me in that respect; but then I thought, Oh well, maybe it's coming up...

Well, if anyone ever thought/believed she didn't have enough money to pay her debts and pledges because she's oh so poor due to having to pay the lawyers; they know differently now.

I mean, I imagine this is expensive, but also... half a million dollars in legal fees pays quite a few top drawer lawyers at $900/more per hour, for quite a long time.

I think this is the first time that it was testified by anyone, that she has in fact been paid in full.

I have to admit, I'm also kind of curious how much time (if any) he is going to spend looking directly at her next week while she's on the witness stand.

If I were he, I'd stare fixedly and distantly just past her, expressionless, for the entire time. Maybe at her ear...

How much of Heard's $7m divorce settlement went to charity?

Terence Dougherty, from the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), tells the court he studied law at Columbia University and previously worked for the law firm Patterson Belknap.

He tells the court he was the ACLU's first in-house lawyer and he is now the chief operating officer and general counsel.

Johnny Depp's lawyer asks if he knows how much money Amber Heard has donated to the ACLU.

Mr Dougherty says he does but asks if the lawyer means direct payments or payments on her behalf.

He says Heard has paid £350,000 directly. Indirectly, £100,000 has been paid as a cheque from Depp and two other payments totalling $850,000 - a total of $1.3 million.

This is relevant as Heard said she donated her $7m divorce settlement to the ACLU and Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

"It's fair to say that she has not donated $3.5 million as of today," Depp's lawyer asks and Mr Dougherty says this is "true".

The $100,000 from Depp is credited towards the amount, Mr Dougherty says. He says they asked Heard if it should be, and she said it should.

I just Googled it. Unbelievable!! She's spent almost 1/3 of her life in court battles. Was the battle with EM resolved? I think when it comes her time to testify, we may have a warning for mature audiences only. It just gets more crazy. I'm proud to say I never heard of AH and only EM when he was buying Twitter. JD because of Edward Scissorhands...a movie I loved. This is truly a can of worms for all. This whole mess is just so wrong and beyond the pale to me.

Waste is the word - how come a jury must listen to this tale of a totaĺly disippitated pair who had more money than manners or respect. It is a waste of time, money, resources and probably neither will win.

Question to both: was it worth putting local employees and friends through this?

IMO, from that damning testimony yesterday, it sounded like Heard used the aclu, and they used her…and Musk had a role in this whole thing…which is probably why his attorney released a statement that he would not be appearing in the trial the evening before this deposition was to be played in court.

The fact that Heard wanted this article released just after Aquaman was released shows she was after the publicity and the aclu agreed. Timing is everything…ya know?

Although she won’t start presenting her case until next week, so far it appears the publicity that she was seeking has turned into the publicity she didn’t want. moo

I binge watched all of Pirates some time ago.Glad I did because JD is a great Jack Sparrow! Even more so since he revealed how Disney orig cast Sparrow and then how JD recreated the character.
I loved JD as Tonto in The Lone Ranger too. Google the( funny) outtakes. The cast loved him ..visa versa. He’s a good guy.
I’m hoping this trial restores his career.
Jealous AH needs to go away.
