IMO, Brown Rudnick is not the least bit worried about any of this because they know they still have a rebuttal case ahead of them; and the more time they save now, the more time they have to put on rebuttal witnesses.

I understand the temptation to be worried for the sake of truth and general fairness.

In reality, Brown Rudnick is a multimillion-dollar international law firm; and what this team doesn't know firsthand, they have entire specialty divisions from whence to draw an attorney whose specialty it in fact is.

IMO they're not the least bit fussed.

My husband and family work in the 'business.' They work with many actors and comics. The most successful ones do become 'hermits'---especially when they are successfully working a lot.

They savor being at home, where they have all the luxury and accessories one might need. Why go out when it is so annoying being hounded by the press and the public?

They have to 'go out' and make appearances all the time so when they don't have to they prefer to stay in.

Lots of drinking and drug use went on…not only Depp, but by all imo. The difference is that Depp has owned up to this…and I don’t believe the others have. Not only did these people live in these penthouses rent and utilities free, but my guess is that they enjoyed those free drugs as well.

Not one has said that they saw Depp physically abuse Heard…except for one…her sister, which I find questionable for a number of reasons.

MOO - they were gaslit into believing the story she was even then selling. I find AH extremely narcissistic. They are very skilled at abusing while making their victim appear to be the crazy out of control one. Hence their testimony and in some cases (IMO) embellishment at UK trial. Now they feel the must stick to it even as they themselves have figured out the AH is not who they thought she was.

ETA I almost wonder if "someone" - either AH or someone on her behalf made sure to remind them before THIS trial that if JD won, THEY themselves could be subject to a libel or defamation suit because of their previous testimony in UK trial and that it would behoove them to be consistent this time around with that testimony

Most emphatically definitely spot on for narcissism. Lady Colin Campbell wrote an excellent book on her narcissistic mother. Narcissists can fool people into beliefs about themselves that are not true. They are all about me me me. They do not or can not see in themselves who they really are. It is unreal. AH does display characteristics of narcissism. I worry for her daughter. MOO.

All JD really wants is for the public to hear the truth, his truth. He puts it all out there to reclaim his professional reputation. As crazy as his life has been, he has always been a man of great integrity and stands very firm in his principles. The great thing about this is I think this will help him heal from the trauma and abuse, which in turn could also help his addiction recovery. For an introvert to share so much of their internal, private life is difficult, but when finally spoken it can feel like the weight of the world is lifted off their shoulders.

Even though I was on his side, because he too seemed bewildered he lost and he’s not stupid - not only AH, but people for decades have said, a la Kate Moss, he’s been their sounding board - but I think a lot of people were in your boat.

Also, I don’t think the UK allowed, heard, or considered these recordings.

I am no lawyer and certainly not in the UK, but everyone has said something akin to, as a witness and not a counterparty, Amber’s evidence was not evaluated by the judge under the rules of evidence.

By which I mean.basically he read over her written witness statements and the odd photo therein, she went to the stand in person, and he evaluated her on ‘believability of her story’.

The other big issue, IMO, is that the previous trial was against The SUN, a large publication.

So the real question before the judge was 'did the Sun make the right decision to print AH's claims?'

I think that is an easier decision that determining ultimately if she was lying about the incidents. I think the judge was just considering if the Sun did due diligence in weighing her claims. And if it was possible, even slightly probable, some of it was true, then JD loses the case.

Someone else picked this up: WH said that JD ran up behind her on the stairs and hit her from behind. But how is that possible, if AH claims that JD was trying to swing at W/push W down the stairs. Weren't JD and Travis at the top of the stairs already? Travis testified that he was between AH and JD and she punched over his shoulder to hit JD. How did JD manage to grab AH by the hair and punch her repeatedly with his soft casted injured hand with Travis between them? AH kept saying WH had her back to the stairs.

Something doesn't add up.

What I don’t understand about all these hanger on friendys of AMber as they witness Johnny -drunken rage- or -flinging of doors-
WHY didn’t they leave???
It is Johnnys house after all!
Was Amber in high school ? Had her friendys sleep over, live there?
Could she never be alone? Actually be an adult with her husband in their home?!

Amber used JD to park her friends, sister , fan club in his home like a hotel for high school friends. She triangulates with other men (& women) which is very Narc typical.
