This is embarrassing and ridiculous.

Maybe to still have her side going before weekend break?
Possibly; or maybe this is yet another "Amber problem", wherein she has both convinced herself and forced Elaine to put on this dumb-show because Amber is convinced that these witnesses will add something slam-dunk (I don't know why).

Just now getting to turn on the trial, have I missed anything important?

Only vaguely interesting thing I've heard so far is EB getting arsey with AW in her usual style of rudeness and I just heard JD lawyer accidentally called AW "The WETness" :D

It's the little things lol

Rolling Stone article

Discussion now moves on to any communication Adam Waldman (who is Johnny Depp's attorney) has with the press while working for the . He is asked about the publication of an article in the magazine Rolling Stone in June 2018. Mr Waldman says he was present for some of the interview Depp did for that article. He says he is not sure if it was published before or after Depp sued The Sun newspaper in the summer of 2020.

Mr Waldman is asked if it was him who first contacted Rolling Stone about the article and he says no, it was Depp.

The article is described as highlighting "injustice being done to Depp's reputation".

There is no smear champaign against AH. She has lied and people are calling her out on it. It's not right or cool to lie publicly about someone. And she continued/continues to lie and lie. People, real humans are outraged and sharing their opinions online etc.. not bots. MOO

Also, the commenters on CourtTV and other sources have been pretty clear throughout the duration of this trial, about the fact that it is in fact possible to turn juries off with developments that make the juries feel as if either side is wasting the jury members' time.

For sidebars before or during court, they may not know who is or is not at fault for being unprepared.

When it's witnesses that go nowhere and add nothing, the jury definitely knows that the side who called these human nothingburgers is the side responsible for wasting their time.

I think the testimony from the ex-agent and business manager were credible and help AH in terms of damages. I mean, sure we can dismiss these people as being disgruntled but then same would apply to AH’s personal assistant and JD’s witnesses, specifically those that were mooching off him or employed by him - those could be dismissed as biased.

Idk the jury is going to have a mess on their hands! After 6 weeks I’m betting jury will not want to spend days poring over this “evidence” for days. They’re gonna wanna get outta there I bet!

EB really battling out with AW and BC - I know who I would bet money on.

The Kathleen Zellner development has always intrigued me.
I hold her in such high regard.

From the article you linked:

“I have spent the last 30 plus years defending individuals who have been falsely accused of wrongdoing. I welcome adding Johnny Depp to that list and joining his dream team who share this view and have so effectively been advocating for him,” says Kathleen Zellner."
Yes, I agree. I wonder what work specifically she's doing.

I don't know how this is meant to score points for AH's case of defamation? We've all seen and heard all the testimony in this trial. You can't defame someone with facts. What was put in the press (arrest for assault of ex, accusation of stealing Kate James story of SA and tales of AH abusing her, etc) comes from public record, her own words, the words of other individuals, etc.

So the fact that JD did an interview in rolling stone ISN'T what has damaged her. Her own behavior with others, including JD, has damaged her reputation. Lordy can we all go home now - nodding off.

No WAY?!

Oh wait... we all knew this years ago.

Have the jury asked for a naptime break as they're bored to sleep by EB's monotonous droning?

Funny you should ask that.......

'Sexual violence hoax 'facts''

Adam Waldman, Johnny Depp's attorney is being asked about passages from three Mail online article, all published in July 2020.

The first says: "Amber Heard and her friends in the media use fake sexual violence allegations as both a sword and shield, depending on their needs.

"They have selected some of her sexual violence hoax 'facts' as the sword, inflicting them on the public and Mr. Depp."

A second article contains quotes from Mr Waldman in which he calls Heard's claims "an ambush" and "a hoax".

Describing an incident in which Heard accused Depp of throwing a phone at her and trashing their apartment in May 2016, Mr Waldman is quoted as saying: "So Amber and her friends spilled a little wine and roughed the place up, got their stories straight under the direction of a lawyer and publicist, and then placed a second call to 911"

In a third Mail Online article Mr Waldman is quoted as saying "...we have reached the beginning of the end of Ms Heard's abuse hoax against Johnny Depp." The first part of the sentence is redacted (blanked out for publication).

Amber Heard's lawyer Elaine Bredehoft asks lots of other questions about these articles, but due to the attorney client privilege, Mr Waldman refuses to answer the majority.

I'm assuming AH's case has gotten beyond the "abuse" phase of her case with her sister's testimony? I'm assuming we are not going back into abuse claims anymore unless it's rebuttal.

I have officially checked out  and I may have even fallen asleep
The only reason I haven’t fallen asleep is because I’m multi-tasking while listening … as a juror I would be fighting to keep my eyes open … this deposition is way too long.

Maybe it's just me but... it seems JD's team has not used harsh voices when speaking with (direct nor on cross exam) any witness except AH.

This is interesting testimony from Waldman finally. It shows he’s actively dragging her name through the mud on the Internet. I know JD supporters will feel it’s factual and thus justified. But this supports, from her perspective, that JD is harassing her online.

  • #198
AW is saying that AH testified that AH said JD grabbed her hair and beat her with an "appendage." What appendage is this? And I don't recall her testifying to that at all in trial, so it's a change in testimony. RP didn't even say she saw JD anywhere near AH when RP arrived. RP said they were 8-10 feet apart.

There are a lot of ''content creators'' that believe AH. It goes both ways. But AH maybe stop lying??? MOO

'An absence of bruises on Heard's face'

Adam Waldman, Johnny Depp's attorney is now being questioned by Depp's lawyer Ben Chew.

Mr Waldman says there are numerous witnesses - both neutral and those who gave evidence on behalf of Amber Heard and Johnny Depp - who testified the actress had "no visible injuries" on her face after Johnny Depp allegedly threw a phone at her in a dispute in on 21 May 2016.

He says there was "an absence of bruises" on Heard's face, and that she did not appear to have any facial injuries from 21 May 2016 (the day the attack is alleged to have taken place) up until 25 or 26 May. He says she then "appeared bruised" on 27 May.

It was around this time Heard appeared on The Late Late Show With James Corden, when the actress told the court she needed to hide a split lip and facial bruising with make up.
