Psychiatrist David R Spiegel is giving evidence for Amber Heard's team.

He says Depp had major issues with "delaying reward", which he says was made worse by substance abuse.

He also says Depp demonstrated erratic behaviour, including ranting texts containing vulgar language.

He now moves onto various prescription drugs used by Depp including an antipsychotic drug called Seroquel a pain killing opiate and Adderall for Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

I don't think any of that was allowed in court because of the various voices in it?.

Yeah I was actually eager to hear what he was gonna say before Depp’s lawyer voir dire’d him and he responded the way he did. He seems excited to be involved in this case and willing to say whatever. He’s overstating things and putting on a show IMO.

'We don't expect our victims to be perfect'

Psychiatrist David R Spiegel says Johnny Depp "has a history of self injuries behaviour", including cutting and burning himself.

He says he is aware of a text in which he says Depp's private doctor, Dr Kipper, said Depp had cut off the tip of his own finger with a knife in anger after Amber Heard argued with him over getting sober.

Dr Spiegel goes on to discuss victim impact of intimate partner violence (IPV) saying: "We don't expect our victims to be perfect." He says it's not unusual to see post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or emotional disorders in his victims.
