Amber Heard's 'chemistry' - or lack of - with Jason Momoa in Aquaman films

Walter Hamada, president of DC-based film production for Warner Bros, tells the court that Amber Heard was never released from her Aquaman contract or rehired.

She did not receive a pay increase for Aquaman 2 after appearing in the first film, Mr Hamada says, answering questions from Johnny Depp's lawyer. He says producers were trying to stop renegotiations on every deal.

Heard plays Mera in the films, which star Jason Momoa and Patrick Wilson.

Her role in the film was determined in the early development of the script, which would have happened in 2018, he says, saying that her role was never reduced.

The movie was built around the characters played by Momoa and Wilson, who were the "co-leads", Mr Hamada says, and tells the court that Heard's role was never affected by anything to do with Depp.

He says there was a delay of "probably weeks" in casting Heard in the sequel, saying there were conversations about potentially recasting.

There were concerns brought up following the "wrap" of the first film, over Heard's "chemistry" with Momoa. However, Warner Bros did not audition other actresses for the role, he tells the court, and eventually went with Heard.

Asked if Warner Bros was ever considering paying Heard more for the sequel than the original film, Mr Hamada says no.

Elaine sounds whiney about him saying 'fabricating' was necessary---she won't let it go...lol

Elaine REALLY doesn't want it to be due to chemistry.

If he says the wrong thing they'll litigate for discrimination in another case.

Dr. Golberg (JD's Dr. who treated his finger injury) is next. Elaine left that cross of Hamada unsatisfied. She failed t establish that AH's role was reduced due to JD or anything aside from lack of chemistry in Aquamaaaaan

I'd like to be a fly to hear this sidebar. DP's lawyer was showing something from her cell phone.

Dr Goldberg will be another one to dispute Heard’s expert witness from yesterday. This doctor actually treated Depp.

More sidebar. Is AH's team going to be frittering away time at side bars today?

Surely the judge won't let them get away with that?.

Did anyone just see AH pass a pink post-it to the lady behind her, who then walked it to the guy sitting on the bench behind her, who then walked it to the blonde lady sitting with Whitney, who then passed it to Whitney?

Aquaman chemistry 'took a lot of effort'

Amber Heard's lawyer Elaine Bredehoft is now asking questions of Walter Hamada, president of DC-based film production for Warner Bros, about Heard's role in the Aquaman films.

Mr Hamada again says Aquaman producer Rob Cowan had concerns over her chemistry with star Jason Momoa but that this was "not uncommon".

Watching the film, it looks like they had great chemistry, he says - but this "took a lot of effort to get there" in post-production.

Asked to be more specific about what it was that made them lack chemistry, Mr Hamada says this is hard to define - like asking the question of "what makes a movie star?"

It is the job of "every filmmaker", Ms Bredehoft says, to put the best elements together, which Mr Hamada agrees with.

Aquaman was the highest-grossing DC film ever for Warner Bros, Mr Hamada tells the court.

Asked about the upcoming Aquaman sequel, he says production went "very smoothly".

I hope the doc is short and sweet too! These long side bars are so annoying. Why can’t they take care of these issues before the jury comes out? At least then we can hear
