Tremaine testified that he was instructed to dispatch photographers to a Los Angeles courthouse on May 27, 2016 — the day Heard filed for a temporary restraining order from Depp. He said his news producers would not have given him that assignment without verifying the credibility of the source who sent the tip that Heard would be filing a TRO.

"We were trying to capture Amber leaving the courthouse and an alleged bruise on the right side of her face," he told the court. "She was going to sort of stop and turn towards the camera to display the bruise on the right side of her face, the alleged bruise."

When asked if TMZ got the shot, Tremaine replied, "We did." (Heard previously denied working with TMZ.)

"The video was sent in through our email tip line," Tremaine explained. He confirmed TMZ owns the copyright to the video.

"How does TMZ obtain copyright over images and videos?" Vasquez asked.

"The only way to obtain copyright over media would be if we shot it ourselves, if it was sent to the tip line and the source verified it was from the original copyright owner and then either purchased from that person or given to us and then the third option would be if it was directly given to us by the copyright holder like a direct source," Tremaine replied.

Tremaine said TMZ was able to verify the source so quickly, they got the video up in 15 minutes. He also told the jury the video they posted was edited.

Oh, now the thing was in the kitchen? Really?

ETA, that's right. I went back to the UK testimony, and she does say that it was in the kitchen when she was choking her. Now, in the USA trial, it was the bar? Why didn't this come up in the trial?
She was in the kitchen and the bar at the same time... different floors.
Ms. Aquanet is as good at lying as she is at acting. MOO JMO

I think JD could care less about anything from her. I think all he ever wanted was to get his side told for the people who love him.

I think JD would rather elegantly make a point of not "touching" any of her money, just as he has refused to look her in the eyes. Clearly making the point he wants NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING to ever do with her again.

She has really destroyed her career, at least in mainstream big-budget (big-payroll) movies and exposed herself to any future rich partners as an unstable, vulgar, manipulative and violent grifter. She's an object of really base international ridicule. That's probably a much better punishment than having to play out money games with her.

He has established his truths and himself as a sensitive and wounded, flawed man who does have integrity, blinding wit, and charm. I think he has gained a substantial fan base and will be able to explore more interesting parts without ever having to do Pirates again.

Has JD mentioned if he is trying sobriety again? I’ve missed a lot of the case. Just curious.

Thank You! Very damming testimony for team AH..

I wonder if she feels ripped off for only getting 10 minutes of fame instead of 15?

LOL note she didn't ask Kate Moss about her two mins of fame did she?!?

I think he has appeared quite sober throughout this trial.

Just my "I've seen a thing or two" opinion

The crazy professor Psychiatrist on behalf of AH the other day stated in testimony he was aware that JD is finding life improved in sobriety and he commends JD for that.

To my mind, this should have been challenged 'objection your honour' for hearsay or speculation as it has, to the best of my knowledge, not been stated in court. I could be mistaken but anyhow, it implied that JD is now sober.

I think it's possible there was a phone. But in the UK trial she said it was an old fashioned mint green and cream phone. Imo a mint green phone does not go with the décor in that house. It just sounds like a straight up lie. Also I just googled the mansion and it was built in 1985 so maybe they kept a mint green phone even if the décor was updated? I don't know if I believe that. MOO

Edit - I mentioned all the above because why didn't she say it was a mint green phone during this trial? Maybe because it's a lie.
You’d think that JD's attorneys would have the owners or property manager testify regarding the existence of the bakelite wall phone.

I agree with everything you said.

However if he wins this and is awarded a sum, he MIGHT require such an award to be donated to an organization or charity of his choice, and without her or his name attached.
Maybe.

So the jury doesn't know that AH was actually arrested, if that's the case? o_O
I don't know all the back stories...honestly was not sure who the "friend" was and now with the complete story If they could not give all the details including the arrest then that was pointless.

Okay, about the Kitchen or the bar controversy. I went back to her testimony in 2022.

She said "I say it's a kitchenette, but it's really a bar..."

So she changed her testimony from kitchen to bar.

I also noticed that she said she'd set out the food she was going to cook and then went upstairs. She came down later in her night gown. So uhm, did you cook? Who puts on their nightgown to cook? And I think she wanted to tell people that mashed potatoes were on the wall. So when did the cooking occur?

She remembers being pushed up against "cooling fridges?" Then he choked her on the wall by the "cooling fridges." Then he flings her into the "games table," started whacking her face. They struggle there, and then, "We had this conversation about "did you drink this whole bottle..."

What the hell? How are you brawling in there and then go into a "conversation?"

AH's attys could have done this.
They didn't.

Did anyone happen to see when WH exited the front row of the gallery? lol I noticed she was not there when court was dismissed.
I did not see her there this afternoon...frankly I'd leave too after Johnny's comments about she and her sister. He was right.

Jury heard about the arrest. ETA: And, of course, AH blamed Johnny Depp for the press reports

Ms Vasquez brought up claims faced by Ms Heard in 2009, when she was arrested over an alleged domestic violence incident involving her then-partner Tasya van Ree. The alleged incident was reported in 2016 by TMZ. The website wrote at the time that Ms Heard “allegedly grabbed and struck [Ms van Ree] in the arm, which upset [Ms van Ree] and triggered the arrest”.

I am a bit out of kilter as just catching up on the court recordings from earlier today.

Something has stood out - when JD is giving his testimony about AH fighting with her sister Witney (or attacking her?), I noticed that EB is sitting giving a staring shaming face and vigourously shaking her head.

I feel this is grossly inappropriate behaviour for a legal person to conduct themselves in such a manner in court and also appears to be intimidation. Is this normal in courts? I think it's terrifying and wrong.
both sides in the trial have been doing this non stop. I find it obnoxious and wish the judge would address it but at this point it just seems tolerated. The jury does see it.

It's a type of Narc-speak. They detail incorrect information to throw a curve ball. I have no idea why but with AH she has a habit of embedding a visual description of something that wasn't there - such as the black mesh vest. I guess she thinks it adds weight to a story or makes it seem more true? A sort of visual anchor brainwashing thing.
