Why 2nd degree murder charges? It sounds like the charges should be for 1st degree murder.

Also, since he had previously been arrested and charged for a previous assault on Catron, I would definitely bet he is/was guilty of DV. He's probably feeling satisfied sitting in jail as he has continued to ruin his ex-partner's life.

I wonder how old the children are.

I hope this guy is put away in jail for the rest of his life.

"It was not Pierce’s first encounter with the law. He pled no contest to a misdemeanor attempted assault and battery on Catron in February of 2022.

"He received a one-year sentence for that, but the court suspended all the time."
