Details of Disappearance

Sylvester lived in an apartment on the northern side of Virginia Beach, Virginia in 1977. She was employed at a restaurant in the city at the time.

Sylvester failed to arrive as scheduled at work on January 24, 1977 and never retrieved her paycheck. She has never been heard from again. Sylvester frequently rode a bicycle while living in Virginia Beach. Her case remains unsolved.

This case is very similar to that of Tara Calico, almost the same circumstances... but in different places... I can imagine that she was violently dumped from the kidnapped, raped and murdered bicycle dumped in some garbage dump or remote area... and Life went away out of nowhere for this beautiful 22-year-old girl...

It has been mentioned in previous posts that Judy might have one of several young women in that area of Virginia murdered by an unidentified serial killer.

There were some now identified serial killers who lived or operated there about the time Judy went missing.

A few of them are:

Lloyd Welch

Perhaps a study of their known MO's, victims, travels and locations could help.

Her bike was found in her apartment. So this tells me she was not riding it when she went missing. Since it was winter, I wonder if the weather was too bad to ride the bike and she was walking. It’s possible that she accepted a ride from the wrong person.
