Those go go bars (and there's more than one) in the area where she worked is very close to a Naval Shipyard. There are plenty of sailors that live on ship and in the area surrounding it. I would assume that some may frequent the go go bars (otherwise why would they put all in one area?). I think I or someone else had mentioned before that it would be easy for someone in the military to somewhat disappear after her murder/disappearance. I so hope they find out what happened to her.

I mentioned the fact that if they were in the military, they might have received orders taking them out of the area or they might have even gotten out of the military moved back where they were from originally. I know a few others had that thought as well.

I see the last post on Kathleen's case was from me over 2 years ago. I've been checking the case online, but apparently not here.

Newport News PD used to have a missing persons page - and Kathleen Haley was not on it when I checked - but I no longer see a missing persons page.

The Charley Project states that her bed, computer and a cut away section of carpet were missing. They list her dog as missing as well, but I thought a family member stated that the dog had been found (on here?). I've read elsewhere that she had a bike that might be missing as well. I did a Google Search and there is nothing from NNPD or the media in the past year. One of the last articles I could find was from the local ABC affiliate, WVEC, 2.5 years after she went missing.

The NBC affiliate had this around the 5 year mark. LE says they have POI, but not enough to connect them to the crime.

Checking in. I can nothing on Kathleen's case since 2017. It seems like if you want to make someone disappear, Newport News and Hampton (Keir/Chloe Johnson case) is the place. Here is October 2017 article from the Daily Press:

A Google search over the last year has nothing from LE or the media. NNews PD used to have a missing persons page, but she was never included on it. There were interesting comments on Reddit from other women who were dancers in NNews and they described how LE really didn't try to help them.

DNA identified a suspect in another, similar, case from the same area ( Terry Lynn Howell). I wonder if there is a connection. The suspect in that case, Allan Wilmer Jr. would have been 58 when Kathleen disappeared.
