How do things keep happening while they are seemingly under close watch? Who would know when no one's watching the area where the gloves were found in order to place them there unnoticed? Who would know when the doors were no longer under surveillance? Has anyone considered an LEO?

His vehicle wouldn't be questioned if seen in the area around the time of her disappearance (either immediately after or during the searches). Also, probably no one would report it as a suspicious vehicle after the fact.

Kelly would have trusted an LEO -- most likely.

I don't want anyone to take this the wrong way asking this question. But it is a valid question regarding the search for Kelly.

During the search for Kelly in the woods and along the river, were there any signs of the ground being disturbed?

By this I'm asking were there any recent digging into the ground?

I think the RSO that works for Verizon should be looked into.

What is this person's occupation with Verizon?

Does this person goes into homes to install and repair telephones?

Does this person have the ability to change or delete customer's telephone records?

From what we do know about this case, I don't buy the notion that this is a suicide case. I feel that this is a stalking and abduction case.

When I found him in the RSO database, it listed his employer as Verizon - didn't say what his position was.

Let me look him up again....I recall his conviction was for a 1995 crime & first name, but don't remember his whole name.

So now we have gloves and goggles that MAY HAVE mysteriously appeared sometime after Friday when Kelly vanished, the area was searched, and prior to when they were found Saturday....and we have mysteriously unlocking doors that MAY HAVE seemingly unlocked themselves between Friday when LE reportedly locked them and Saturday when they were found wide open......wow.

Exactly. Appears as if someone is toying with LE. So strange ...

I so want Kelly to be found--and soon!

my wife and i were out there along with another gentleman until 11. no family was there so we packed up at 11. found nothing. i searched the water in my duck boat and nothing. i did see a chesterfield leo out there walking around for 1/2 hour but that was it. has anyone heard from jamie. i will be out that way later next week. so if yall want to search then just let me know. or if there is something going on in the moring i can help then too.

AnotherNiece, one of Kelly's nieces, told us about the doors being wide open on Saturday after they were locked by police on Friday. Look for post #241 on this thread, where AnotherNiece says:

Which Kelly normally used the garage door opener to get in and didnt unlock front or back door. Alright as one of Kelly's nieces lets see what I can clear up. Kelly wasnt seeing anybody. There has been refernece to my family all being in PA and not knowing what was really going on in Kellys life in VA. But Kelly called 1 of us everynight if not more than 1 of us. She was home for Christmas and was in a great mood. She spent almost 2 hours on the phone with me New Years Eve. The Tuesday before she was missing she spent almost 45 minutes on the phone with me laughin and having joking around making plans to come up at end of Feb for her mothers bday and trying to see what else we could slam into that weekend. Also she sent me a txt message on Thursday before missing. Joking around with me and making fun of each other. She was at yoga Thursday night then went to see a friend. So as big as our family is we would know. Kellys talk of baptism and death come from a teacher in high school when she went to private baptist school telling her she would never get to heaven cuz she wasnt baptized. This has been an on going conversation since she was 16 yrs old. She said she should stop wondering and just go get baptized. Our family has been hit with many traumatic events that that would make you question the whole DEATH process. If she was so worried about getting into heaven then I think suicde would never have played in to the equation. cuz thats not going to get you to heaven. Kelly has always questioned religion and death. This does not make her suicidal. Kelly is somebody who you can tell when something is wrong and bothering her. The guys at work say she was in a great mood in the breakroom during earlier break. The cops have her computer and Verizon says its not as easy as everybody thinks to get accurate phone records as people believe. She just recently bought her car and would never have left it. Verizon also says its hard to tell between somebody talking to you and leaving you a message. there have been so many eye witness accounts of how she left the building that its hard to figure out what is the truth. I have a few thoughts:

Is it possible that sprinting toward the river was part of her warm-up routine before going on a jog? I know that would be the opposite of the way most would warm-up but that is a possibility.

Could she have taken her keys with her because she kept her keycard attached to her keychain?

Is there any evidence of homeless people along the river? I know it's winter and the location seems isolated but I used to work in an office park kind of like that one and we'd have homeless people camping along the river sometimes.

To me, the biggest things that stand out are:
Telling neighbor that she felt someone had been in her home while she was out.
Sudden 'sprinting' outside and down to the river while working. She is a welder, so
something made her leave her project running. (several versions of what happened at work and what time)

Day after she went missing:
Police find both doors to her house wide open, after locking them the day before.
Her gloves and goggles found near work, in already searched area.

my questions:
and maybe it has already been answered.
Could Kelly see outside from her work station? If so, could she see the parking lot? The front entrance?
Did she say anything to the person nearest her as she left the building?

How close are the work stations to each other?
Was someone at work giving her a hard time in the recent days before she disappeared?

I know Kelly was said to love her job, how great her employer and fellow employees were, she loved it. But after she noticed something amiss in her home and commented to a neighbor that she kept her keys in her toolbox while at work and wondered if someone had copied them as a joke; could she have had an inkling as to who that person in the workplace might be? Is it possible that this person had started to make her feel uncomfortable?

I'm not sure what the work environment was like but Kelly was a welder. How many other women were doing that same job? Could someone have resented a woman in that position? Just throwing it out there.

I am still a little confused about the statements as some conflict. I still think the cell phone records will yield a clue as to what was going on.

In post #146, AnotherNiece said something to the effect that A LEO was insisting it was suicide, and I got the impression he was the only one. Maybe they should look at him?

Family is still searching as are detectives. Also today my cousin as I went out at 6 am this morning in our area posting flyers all over I 79 and I 90 and passing to truckers from all different states today we put out well over 150 flyers. We also did the same thing yesterday with my sister go I 79 opposite was as wekll as I 80. I', praying we are going to get this well circulated with her picture. Also there is another person out there that is stating that they are a acting psychic on this case. They have not posted on this sight but they are on another site, however they are fake. They say they have all this info on My Aunt and keep reposting their sight when indeed they have nothing nor are they working on this case thus the reason they keep reposting their link. So when word gets around just beware its FALSE! My family did a media free search the other day as the media keeps wanted to throw stuff out there that is not truth! Please everyone keep this going and do not let this thread die. I will keep updating but now I am busy in the community as I have several post on the computer and now I need to start getting pictures out. So don't think I will not be back as I am doing everything I can to help my aunt out. Until we find her and I tell this sight and blog that she was found I will continue posting. It just takes me a while to read everything when I have not been on all day long to follow it. Everyone please keep asking people to post and do a google search on her name kelly diane catalano Chest, VA for the pages and posting I have made Digg, twitter, you tube, myspace, and facebook.

I have been trying to get the "picture" here....I really hope Kelly is ok, or at least some closure for her family

some "thoughts">> different "stories" about how/when she left the building....I think they really need to follow up on those. Who is willing to take a polygraph there??

she is very attractive....did she "reject" some guy who was interested in her??
a coworker? someone who came by her place of work?? Delivery person is a good suggestion....overpower her and put her into a truck

what about videos of the workplace/parking lots, other companies in the complex, check their videos?? I hope this has/is being done as some of these are "taped "over and reused

I know that many people put out the idea that missing people just "up and leave" and are wandering homeless shelters...but honestly I have not seen that happen much, a few cases but the people were not very "established" (did not have much to lose)...they were already on a downward spiral to that end....Kelly sure does not seem to fit that

I also don't feel it was suicide...who would do that on a quick break from work??

she had things to live for, friends, family, job, a new car.....I feel that some "dark force" entered her life, known or barely known to her...someone was watching her , stalking her....I wonder if they "lured" her out of the building somehow??? The house "open doors" etc could be really important here and makes me think of a stalker/controller/manipulator

It is very hard to (as logical minds said) "get the picture" of what this case is really about with so little background info on Kelly in terms of friends, boyfriends, etc, etc. I don't see this being a remote/by chance grab of a stranger.

I put my two cents forward that this was someone familiar with BOTH Kelly AND her place of employment. If I were LE I would be checking all the cameras inside and outside the facility and to check and see where all other employees were at the time/what deliveries may have come in or out at that time.
