Mornin Julia, welcome to Websleuths. You're correct in thinking that's a possibility I think, yes.

Interesting developments.

While the deed is far from any conclusive evidence of a relationship, it certain has raised a few eyebrows. Kelly is an unmarried 40 y.o. woman, who worked as a welder and was last seen in workboots.

She is a very attractive woman and people just assumed any stalker was a man. This deed information may have just doubled the universe of people to be looked into.

I have known Kelly for over a decade. I know the people on the news who have talked about her. I am the "other person" on the deed and the person who moved from NC to VA with her. I have been following this thread and others, just really trying to process everything that is happening. Although I haven't seen or spoken to Kelly in six months, I felt it necessary to speak up, since my name is now being posted here, for whatever reason.

FYI -A few points of interest:

1) Kelly often left the doors unlocked, usually because she worked long days and usually rushed out in the morning.

2) Before I moved my things out of the house, Kelly had already changed the locks, so I no longer have a key, nor would I have any knowledge of anyone who does.)

3) Kelly, along with my niece and some of her coworkers would hunt in the woods behind her workplace. She never wanted to shoot the animals, she just wanted to be out in nature.

4) Kelly is, or was, if the case may be, such a strong, yet sensitive individual. Kelly studied martial arts for several years. It is highly unlikely someone would be able to disarm or disable her.

It is so difficult to decipher a person's character, their traits and their habits without intimate knowledge of who they are. I would hope, if Kelly was suffering emotionally, she had the courage to reach out to any of the people who have cared so deeply about her. It just wasn't in her nature to be vulnerable. I also hope that any information posted here proves beneficial to finding Kelly, wherever she is.

Thank you for posting here.

I have issues with names being thrown about, be they neighbors, RSO's, co-workers, etc, unless the names have already been publicly identified. My last post was a general observation and I hope you did not take anything I said personally.

If you come across any information that might shed light on this, I'm sure we would all appreciate knowing it.

Welcome to WS's ConcernedinVA.

Did your niece work with Kelly?

Welcome to WS's ConcernedinVA.

Did your niece work with Kelly?

No. Kelly's co-workers would go hunting behind the building. In the past, Kelly and her co-workers had taken my niece with them. Sorry for not being more clear.

I've been following this thread since the beginning and finally got my account activated to post.

Kelly was in my yoga class the night before she went missing. She came to a lot of my classes and I guarantee that I've never seen anyone smile as much as Kelly does during an entire yoga practice. When I commented on that to her a few weeks ago, she said something about yoga feeling so great that she couldn't help but smile. This definitely does not match with the characteristics of a suicidal person who is likely numb or unable to enjoy pleasant feelings. And yes, Kelly was smiling as usual the night before. On the other hand, I agree with people that say she may have sensed something bad was going to happen or sensed her stalker's presence, because I got a weird vibe from her when she was leaving the class.

I also talked to a very intuitive woman at the gym who wants the investigation to look into martial arts people and people from the gym that Kelly knows. Not that I'm insensitive, but the only time I've gotten chills during this case is when I considered that it could be someone from the gym and it wasn't chills based on concerns for my own safety, it was more like a feeling that this might be true and it's just creepy to have hunches like that. It was especially strange because I had a hunch about it being a gym member before I talked to this woman. I've already talked to one of the detectives and asked them to look into members with criminal records - especially those that checked in that Thursday night when Kelly was there.

Although I don't know Kelly that well, she is one of my favorite students and myself and other instructors miss her a lot. We're praying for her and her family.

I feel like a lot more investigating needs to be done both at her work place and at the gym. It's more than frustrating.

No, she stayed with Kelly and I for about six months.

Thanks Concerned. I understand if you don't want to say at this stage, but what are your thoughts on what has happened to Kelly?

Thanks Concerned. I understand if you don't want to say at this stage, but what are your thoughts on what has happened to Kelly?

Her family is reading these posts and my heart goes out to them. Like you, I have questions, but it seems to me there are many theories, but only three plausible options. As we all know, emotions come and go and just because you were happy yesterday doesn't mean you are happy today. I would question her state of mind at the time of her disappearance. What would cause her to run/sprint away from her workplace? Sprinting away from your workplace is bizarre behavior, unless you are under severe emotional duress. No one has reported having an argument or confrontation with Kelly, and had she received a call or a text prior to her disappearance, LEOs would have that information from her cellphone carrier. Wouldn't that give them cause to not only suspect foul play, but insist on it? Instead, they have said they do not suspect foul play and have said so almost from the beginning. My only hope is that Kelly didn't solve a temporary problem with a permanent solution...

Hi...I must ask....from what I understand family members, and those involved in a case, friends etc are supposed to email the owner of the site, Tricia and get permission/be vetted?? Otherwise anyone could claim to be a family member on any thread so maybe a mod can step in and give that info?? (I am not a mod, and I am not claiming to be one )

I will also say respectfully that we have an area for "family support" an an additional thread for Kelly can be started there I think??

Missing Persons Information and Support - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community

while it is nice to see and help families here it is also discouraging if we are told "the family reads here and might see that"....since this is a place to discuss "case" facts, theories etc

Thanks

So back to thoughts and theories....no names....

ok, now I am starting to wonder ...did Kelly like guys or date guys or ??

as someone else said, maybe we are looking for the wrong gender...or maybe
rejecting a guy made him angry...

the idea of "gym" connection is viable...could she have rejected some juicer/steroid guy who stalked her and went into a roid rage??

as for martial arts....I am remembering a local case where a well respected/well known karate school teacher was easily overpowered by a bullet ; cowardly robbers were waiting in his parking lot for him to make his "bank run"

so a gun/elememt of surprise would overcome martial arts I am sure

so far there is no physical evidence of a fight right?

as far as the "doors open" ...it is not thought that Kelly left them open right?? LE claims they locked up the house yet the next day they were wide open...

someone toying/controlling/or "bragging" about how smart they are?

likewise the goggles and gloves....it is like someone is playing games with LE ??

I knew Kelly. I hadn't seen her in about a year but I knew the breakup was going bad. I could NEVER, and I mean EVER wrap my head around her committing suicide. I personally have had my mother and my brother both commit suicide so I definately can read a suicidal person.
Kelly is out there, somewhere. I attend a local community college and have classes on 2 separate campuses on 2 different sides of Richmond. I will be posting flyers there tomorrow as well as several local business in between. I have everyone I know spreading the word on facebook and myspace....to Kelly's family, we will find her! I would love to help in any searches on the weekends (I have to go to classes everyday during the week) I pray everyday for all of you to have strength through this and Kelly to remain strong. If there is any other way that I can help, cook a meal for the family that is in town, run an errand, whatever I will be glad to help. Sending my families well wishes and thoughts of strength.

Hi...can you explain the "breakup"?? who was the other person?? who broke up with who?? how long ago? thanks

Did Kelly own a handgun? If so, was it found in her house or is it missing?

Interesting point.

With Kelly being a hunter I would suspect she owned at least a couple of guns. Are these accounted for?

Just got done catching up.. welcome to all the new posters and friends of Kelly. I hope that she is found soon.

I am now just going to acknowledge the elephant in the room because it could be important to solving what happened to her: Did she date women? or men? Let me underscore this with the following: it doesn't matter fundamentally speaking but it could open up the field of likely suspects/help find her/find what happend to her.

That being said, was she dating anyone? If she did date women could it have triggered something in a sicko at the gym, work, etc? We know that these sort of "hate" crimes can and do occur.

Again, sorry for addressing the elephant in the room, but the fact that it is sitting there in a missing persons case..... well it just needs to be addressed to figure out what happened to this beautiful, loving, and hardworking woman. She deserves to be found as soon as possible.

Kelly didn't own any firearms.

She may have still had a bow, but she went to spend time with co-workers, with my niece and to be in nature. She didn't want to shoot anything.

No bows, no guns. She went to spend time with my niece and to be in nature. She didn't want to shoot anything.

Then she can't be deemed to be a hunter.

Nurse, thank you for your considerate and tactful addressing of the possibility that Kelly might be lesbian, straight, or even bi-sexual. While I don't think it matters as far as judging her lifestyle, as you said it could open up the field of suspects. Involvement in any romantic attachments could be considered, as well as looking at it from a "hate crime" standpoint.
I just think that the most likely scenario is what many others have already stated. She was being stalked; she was lured from her work station; someone was waiting.
Just offering support because I'm usually lurking.
