I just about had a heart attack a few minutes ago... I saw a lady at a local Sheetz sitting in her car. From her profile she looked exactly like Kelly... I stared, frozen, at her until she turned around and I could see it wasn't her.

This was in Roanoke, VA. Was this some kind of sign? I have no idea. Whoever this was, was driving a new or almost new black Lexus.

I am catching onto this sleuthing thing...Clarity, details, details and more details...

I watch NCIS, the episodes last an hour, but they are always resolved by the end...I keep waiting for the last 5 minutes of Kelly's show...where everything begins to make sense...

This breaks my heart... It also changes the way you will ever view that show again..

And we're all waiting for it right along with you. It's difficult for us being strangers, and I can only imagine what that wait must be like for you. It's hard to get used to this when you're used to watching scripted television, I know. I watch everything crime related that has a series of letters in the title. That's how I got hooked and what brought me here.

Well speaking of hour long episodes with resolution....and of course then there's Dexter....which goes on FOREVER.

I pray like crazy for Kelly and I know that a lot of people here, from all over, are doing the same thing. I'd advise you to stick around after Kelly comes home. Many, many posters around here have been through traumatic experiences in their lives and some have lost loved ones. I hear that this becomes an excellent support system for them. However the last five minutes plays out, it's going to significantly impact your life for a long time and many people here understand that. I'm sensing some of that pride you mentioned in Kelly in you as well CiV...be strong, for Kelly. If you never thought she needed you, she needs you now more than ever.

For whatever reasons, people have come together here and it is not random, nor is it a mistake...

interesting that you say that because I seen a lady at a grocery store earlier that had me do a double take also. After I looked good at her, I knew it wasn't Kelly. The hair seemed a little darker and longer and what are the chances of her being in Nashville?

If this has already been asked...sorry...

Was there a place or places Kelly liked to go when she needed some quiet/down time or to just to meditate?

That would be something to find out you went camping or something to have time to "think" and come back to find the world has been searching for you.

And you know, I like to hold onto exactly what you just said. There are no laws that prevent an adult from simply walking away if they choose to, for whatever reason suits them. The 'runaway bride' syndrome isn't a crime and Kelly has done nothing wrong if she did walk away. If she's reached a low point in her life that those close to her are unaware of, then she could mistakenly believe that no one will care and that no one will look for her if she's gone.

I much prefer this theory. I like to think that Kelly will come home and listen to 40 million people complain because she left without so much as a word and how everyone searched and worried. I like that much better than the alternatives....and that's what I want to believe happened. Until there is concrete proof to suggest otherwise, I intend to hold onto that for all I'm worth.
:woohoo:

I tend to agree with you, however, I would hope that no one would complain IF she decided to just "take a break." I think we all would more overjoyed to know that she is ok rather than dealing with the alternative. My hopes are that if she is ok, she will move back to PA with her family even though I understand that she is an adult and has to make those decisions herself.

I have been following but i dont know if this has came up and i missed it.

This could have been a hate crime. The thought kicked into high gear when i read the thread regarding the psychic.

Lots of men at her work and all around. Not only employees at the surrounding businesses but you also have possible contact with contractors, salesmen, vending machine fillers, guys scouting the woods for hunting (which Kelly could easily strike up conversation with). Could there have been someone rebuffed by Kelly and go for revenge or could it be at least 2 sick men out there who over took her. In my mind there is no way one could physically overtake her unless they were on some powerful stuff.

Along that line i have more thoughts.......however i am really not wanting to put this negativity in the thread.

The day after her disappearance, a reporter from WTVR called asking for an interview. I politely declined since I had no knowledge of Kelly's habits in the days prior to her disappearance. In the ensuing conversation, he said that if it was thought to be suicide, they wouldn't cover it. Don't know why that's their policy, but it was from the "horse's mouth." Unfortunately, that is exactly what happened....coincidence? I think not. According to newspaper reports last week, LE said that even though there was no sign of foul play, they thought it could be a suicide, but were not ruling anything out....apparently, the media assumes just the hint of a possiblity is enough to justify their silence.

Nice to know the newpaper cares about people enough to not mention them if they "think they are suicides'' You would think they could take the time to educate the public about suicide prevention. But no I will just have to keep reading stories about the how to get my pet adjusted to being home alone again after the holidays so it doesnt feel abandon. That is much more interesting then people and thier problems.:furious:

I may be a bit cynical these days and don't mean to offend anyone, just trying to understand this mystery! If I had been in a nasty break up with someone and hadn't had contact with the person since August and wasn't on good terms with the family I can't see myself getting so involved, sure I would be inquisitive but I think I would stay away from her house, why the concern now?

Goodness- she can't do anything right! lol

  • #573
Why was Kelly afraid that her ex might try and come back into her house, having all the locks changed is unusual unless you are scared of that person!

Not really. She's a woman, we over-react sometimes... we let our emotions get the best of us and do things we think may hurt the person we are in the process of losing. As a woman who's over-reacted and gotten a bit over emotional a time or two (or 50 LOL) in my life I can totally see where changing the locks would help one feel like they still have some sort control over their situation.

I am open to all possibilities in Kelly's disappearance. With the things that are known, it just seems unlikely to me that someone else had a hand in her disappearance. Police have said repeatedly that they do not have any indications of foul play. I just can't wrap my head around someone luring her down to the river. The timing of her disappearance and the facts surrounding it are just beyond coincidental.

And PS, not that I want to open up another can of worms, but that same psychic said that I was stalking Kelly and she couldn't have been more wrong about that.

Does she have any history of mental illness or substance abuse that you are aware of? If so do you think a relapse could be possible?

Again, I'm just asking for your opinions based on what you know of her :)

The police always say this. I would list a few cases, but I don't want to bring the sadness here. LE will always say there is no indication of foul play until the media gets ahold of something and publishes. Then LE will say that yes, something was found and now they are changing the focus of their investigation.

My personal opinion is that LE says this in an effort to throw the perps off the track and make them think they are getting away with something so that the perp will be overconfident and make a few mistakes.

O/T - Hi OneLostGirl - nice to see you here.

Nice to see you too :)

ITA about LE keeping their mouths closed about certain aspects of cases.. it's often how they catch people, by letting them dig their own holes.

Salem and OLG;

You guys are right. It is the quiet before the storm. Whenever the news is not saying anything, the investigation is hot and tight lipped. Don't want anyone, especially media, spilling any beans. So I see this as a good thing.

I am glad to hear this. I did a search of articles again this morning, and nothing new anywhere about Kelly. I also am not seeing the family posting and wonder if they were told to tone it down a little? Any news from Joseph D? Any news about the dogs that were being taken out yesterday?

Hang in there CiV...know that the thoughts and prayers that are being sent out to Kelly and her friends and family during this time are being sent your way as well.
