Found Safe VA - Makayla 'Kayla' Mattei, 15, Dumfries, 17 Feb 2017

The family of a missing 15-year-old is afraid their daughter is with a stranger she met on the internet. They are originally from Atlanta and the mom said it is possible the teen may try to make her way toward Georgia.

Makayla "Kayla" Phyllis Mattei, was last seen on Friday morning when she left to attend school at Forest Park High School in Dumfires, Virginia. Makayla did not show up for school and hasn't been seen or heard from since.

Mattei is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing dark-colored leggings, a pink zip-up Georgia State hoodie and a black Georgia State backpack.

Mattei didn't take medication she needs with her.

Makayla "Kayla" Phyllis Mattei, 15, was last seen on Friday, Feb. 17th when she left for school. Police now say may be traveling with Meiti Metsla, who is an Estonian National.*

Makayla's family is concerned for her health. She has diabetes and needs insulin injections. Her mother said when her daughter left home she had medication with her, but she might not use it properly and she does not have a phone.

Missing Dumfries Girl Found Safe in Harrisonburg: Police

She was with a man who was charged with Internet-related offenses involving children, according to Prince William County Police.
