if you traveled by that field and knew there were no large rocks or big deep gullies...looks like you could drive anything there..car,truck...the police cars made it there.I believe it is some one close, to that home...and knew she might never be found.

There was a show recently on tv about a creep who looked real nice had a business ,but was a sicko...and would take women out in a field and hunt them...it's sick but I know it happened. This was a story happened in Texas.

Hi everyone, I was just thinking...has there been any mention of LE protecting the crime scene last night, such as posting someone near the site where she was found so that no one would disturb any evidence still there?

Here you go ((((Q)))) I have link to video (poor voice quality other reporters are speaking in the background) but what I hear the mother say around four minutes into part one is that she thinks Morgan didn't live through the time the concert was going on... not that she had never entered the concert..

((I am looking on you tube to see if I can find a better video of their presser))

OMG that sounds like a horror flick!

Hopefully nothing like that happened here!

I read on another forum where it was said, on JVM, that a perp could get access to the remains site through a back road (Waldemar Dr.). I am not watching TV so I didn't hear this myself.

On the maps, I have looked at, this looks like a possibility. You could take red hill road up and cut over to Waldemar.

Another hinky thing:

I notice that several RSOs in that zip code live on or near Monacan Road. I notice that one of them, initials SAG, works for a landscaper (probably runs the business out of his home since it's the same address). Some of the people the press talked to yesterday were landscapers leaving the property.

Probably just coincidence -- I have no reason to think they were the same landscaping company. But it does make one go :waitasec:

This morning I read *somewhere* (not sure if on the other forum or in an article) that one of the landscapers said he (they?) had not been there for 3 months. She's been missing for 3 months...

I searched and could not find a source for that; wondering if it was heard in an interview with the landscapers, and if anyone has a link to the interview.

I'd like to know if there has been anyone familiar with the farm (landscapers or other contract workers, former tenants, hands, etc.) who may have visited the farm/area since her disappearance, especially a visit that seems to have come out of 'nowhere'. I've heard that often perps will re-visit the scene of a crime or where they've dumped a body to assure themselves they did all they could to cover up or that the body hasn't been discovered. Not sure if that's true or not, but it makes sense.

i've been following this case from the beginning (metallica fan). so sad.

this new story from the richmond times-dispatch states as fact that she was drinking that night.

http://www2.timesdispatch.com/rtd/news/local/crime/article/BODY271_20100126-234803/320396/

i know there has been a lot of speculation and guessing, but this article treats this as fact. apologies if this has been pointed out before, but i'm wondering why it's being mentioned as a given finally. new info? mistake in reporting?

if this is true, that certainly changes everything. as anyone who's been underage and drinking knows, it's very easy to overdo it by accident. and she could've had something slipped into it, been taken advantage of, etc.

it's all very sad. my condolences to her family and friends.

Thanks.

From your link:

In a phone call with her friends, she told them not to worry about her and that she would try to find her own way home.

From the arena, she headed southwest on foot. She lost her purse and her cell phone. They were found later in an overflow parking lot near the arena, though the phone was missing its battery.

I've never believed that. Had she lived in the Charlottesville area, maybe. But "home" was hours away. I think she was forced to make that call, and then her phone was tossed away.

This is REALLY weird, why did he reregister On 1/25 and the body is found on 1/26????

The most logical explanation I can think of is the date was keyed to read 1/25, but was most likely updated on 1/26.

Hey Calliope! Just to clear up a little something. MH's phone was found with her pocketbook it was the battery that was missing.

Another reason to believe that whoever dumped her was familiar with the farm and the land. I doubt someone who wasn't would have taken the chance their vehicle would have become stuck; waist-high grass can hide a lot.

Yeah. I read the state police have someone posted there .

LL, I heard the same thing said about the grass being waist high in October, after just being cut in August....I speak from experience when I say the following.

I find this hard to believe, in 2 months this cut grass grew to be waist high?
Why wasn't the hay cut again if it grew that much?
If it was that high, the grass blades should still be laying over on the ground and could be measured for it's height.

KNEE high grass in 2 months I would believe!!!...jmo

If this SO lives only one tenth a mile from this pasture that would only be 528 feet.

walking/driving in waist high or knee high or hip high grass for 528 feet wouldn't be a big problem using the same path.

Just coming back in, I haven't caught up yet.

The news keeps reporting that it's a hay field, but the farmer said it's just a cow grazing pasture.

I have no clue what the real story is.

TY Calliope. It would be a shame if the perp went back to the scene, but then again just like the post above said, perps are known to go back to the scene of the crime.

Could be both?

actually there WAS a true case like this. It was Robert Hansen... and he killed over 17 women this way...

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/local/crime/CRIME-HISTORY---Killer-hunted-women-8419373.html
There was a 23 year old who went missing from Lynchburg on October 9th/10th, she was found (deceased) not far off highway 29 (about 60 miles south of Morgan). She was last seen walking in Lynchburg. I have no idea if there is any relation between the two incidents, but thought it strange. Link below...

Searchfor, I think you are correct. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I heard there is a 'housing development' with some construction going on somewhere adjoining this farm.

Lets not forget that she had HER CAR at the concert.

If the friends had her car keys, Why didn't they take the car keys to the door and hand them to her so she could sit in her car til the concert was over??? Her friends Letting her start to hitch-hike home when her car is in the parking lot..
This doesn't make sense in my opinion.

I'm not a farmer and I don't own cows but my dad used to take care of the cows on the farm next door when I was young. Cow pastures don't get up high like hay fields because cows keep it eaten down and stepped on. I have never seen the farm next door ever get up high and it's been there all my life (49 years). There is a difference where I'm from.

Yeah. I read the state police have someone posted there .
I also read that there was more than one unit parked at each possible entry point to the property.
