But haven't they said they have video of Morgan inside the arena?

imo

No - I'll try to find a link. Supposedly LE said there was no video of MH on JPJ security survelliance.

Geller says police have reviewed hours of surveillance footage from the Arena and from area businesses yet have found no images of Morgan. But according to the owner of the closest convenience store to John Paul Jones Arena, the 7-11 on Ivy Road, it was several days before investigators reviewed her store’s tapes.

Hello. Been gone but back again. I am wondering if they ever found any video of the "friends" that accompanied Morgan to the concert in the arena?

Perhaps because they are not talking they remain a big question mark in my book.

Still no video found to my knowledge. The one person who was believed to be MH captured on video was actually Dee Spolarics (sp) - who just so happened to be a friend of one of MH's friends there at the concert that night.

What I don't get is that they went there in Morgan's car, correct? Someone inside had her keys.. A concert is only going to last a couple hours. My ride is MY car. I would want someone to bring me out my keys somehow, or I would be waiting for everyone and MY keys. I certainly would not find another way home, when MY car is right there. I don't understand why the friends did not contact the authorities after the concert, when they found that Morgan was no where around. It just doesn't make sense...perhaps I am missing something.

This case really saddens me. When I was her age, I used to go to metal concerts as well, with my friends. However, we used to stay together and watch out for each other. I'm really curious about her friends. There hasn't been much information released (to my knowledge) about what happened after MH could not get back into the arena or what her friends did to try to find her once she didn't return to her seat, particularly since she was so excited to see this band for six months. I keep thinking that if that were me in that situation, A - one of my friends would have went with me to the restroom, and B - had I went alone, my friends would have been looking for me once I didn't return to my seat by the time the band I wanted to see started to perform... and would have went to Security at the arena to try to find me. I would have did the same thing for my friend had she been missing as well. (Sorry, forget the concert, something is wrong). We (at least two of us) always went together to the restroom. JMO... I'm not blaming anyone for anything here, but I'm just saying that that's how we were (and still are) when we go to events where there are a very large crowd. That way, if one forgets and may try to do something in bad judgement, (i.e. mistakenly go out of the arena), the other can watch out for them and keep them from doing so. JMO Again, I'm not blaming her friends for anything, but I'm just saying that this case really saddens me.

I know there has been some discussion on why the police have discounted Norma Parson (the newspaper delivery lady) sighting of Morgan. I apologize if this information I am posting has already been shared, but I found it interesting. I read a comment on another site about this very thing and wanted to share the basis of it here. I don't know if I am allowed to post the link to another site, so I'll just paraphrase for you.

The commenter suggested that Norma Parson's had seen another girl who looked very much like Morgan. There is a youtube video that shows a girl with long blonde hair, a black tee-shirt, a black skirt and black boots (WITH NO TIGHTS) being escorting out of the JPJ arena, followed by three younger guys. I was kinda taken back at first when seeing this at how much she did resemble Morgan from a distance, but then noticed...no tights. The poster questioned whether Ms. Parson's could have perhaps seen this woman and thought it was Morgan. According to the info, this girl's name is Dee and she has been interviewed by police...they have ruled that she was in fact the girl in the Youtube video and not Morgan. Check out the video, if you haven't already, and see what you think. I believe the poster is right and Ms. Parson could have easily mistaken this girl for Morgan.

She can be seen near the end of the video around 1:22, until the video stops. She is to the left of the black cable hanging in the middle and she's on the floor, not the stands...walking out or being escorting out. Tell me what you think.

Sorry again if this is a repeat of info!! I hadn't seen it yet.

The girl in the video (if I am looking at the right girl) does not have boots on so I don't think it is her?????

the "friends" waited in the parking lot for sometime before returning to harrisonburg..(why..thought they all figured she'd hooked a ride) they did not call or ask about her it was the next day mr harrington said he realized he had not spoken to morgan and called to speak to her because he was going to help her straighten out her checkbook and that is when he was told the story floated by the friends.
Don't have the link but after reading this that's when my hinky meeter went off....if she was locked out and seemed to have no problem with that...make a new plan go with someone else, catch a ride..why did they wait in the parking lot? Why did they not assure she was fine before they left and why no call the next day to "my bestest of friend" just to make sure she was ok??
Why wait till asked? Just very bad judgment? Was this common with them to go places together split up and just wait till you see each other again and hope everyone is ok?
Na i don't think so..
The shirt could be some weirdo, wanting 5 seconds of fame..or a sick "joke" nothing surprises me anymore...maybe shocks me ,but i put nothing past a spotlight seeker! Ref: Balloon boy..

i have a problem with the fact that the friends let morgan find a ride home..which they were far away from home and her friends had morgans keys to the car and her car was in the parking lot. And to not contact her parents that night if you couldn't get in touch with your friend or find her after the concert..just weird.
I think they need to look for street cameras on this one..i know there are many at stop lights to get people that go through red lights and whatnot..wonder if they have any around the arena..the bridge...or down 29

I hope that going forward wrist bands will be required for concert goers. It's a simple step that would have prevented so much anguish. I know it takes extra time and extra workers, but for venues that have such a strict policy about re-entry, it's the least they can do to ensure that valid ticket holders are allowed to be where they have a right to be. Ticket stubs are easily lost. The wristbands have to be cut off in order to lose them. JPJ arena should take some responsibility for their policy.

They will never do that because a huge part of the reason there is the no re-entry policy is they do not want people going back to their cars to get high, drink or even eat out there. There is also the other security issue where they perform a cursory search of everyone who enters and they don't want to re-search people repeatedly.

About the trip from the arena to the farm-about a 20 minute drive. I attach the map showing the road to take. Am I right that the only way to the farm is to purposefully back track as this map indicates, so the person driving would definitely know where they were going, I mean it's not just a turn off the main road-or can someone see another more direct way?

Where did they get the alcohol??????????? Very good question........
How old were the other people in the car, including the male driver???

bbm, I want to know the answer to that question too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This statement makes me very uncomfortable, very uncomfortable.......,moo

Thank you. Even on findmorgan forums..I don't see anyone asking about this. Maybe there was someone a local college student or friend that has not been named that bought them alcohol before the concert. This would be important. Theres got to be SOMEONE that got the alcohol for them, if they were indeed drinking. Did they pre-game in the parking lot at the arena? Did other college students or concert goers play beer pong (a popular game) or something. The one thing I see in common with the Morgan case and Natalee case is the correlation of the friend factor in both cases. With Natalee, they thought she got a ride or taxi back to the hotel and she was ALONE and not with her friends in a strange place away from home. Here, Morgan was ALONE and not with her friends and thought she was going to a get ride home that was far away from the concert. This in no way means that I am blaming the friends..I think people need to learn to stick together and watch out for their friends. I am wondering if Morgan has ever been to the U of VA before this event..maybe to visit her brother at college (didn't he attend there last year) and if so, where did she go? Who did she know from there?
I think and hope that they have a lot of evidence at the scene where her body was found at. On Nancy last night, a behavioral analyst indicated that most likely the crime scene where she was murdered was where her body was located. Maybe a guy she knew said they knew a great spot to make out and show her the stars..I don't know. I'm grabbing at straws..

Thank you, great map. There is DEFINITELY a reason this killer choose this location. Like Casey Anthony, the alleged killer of Caylee....she choose to dispose her daughter in that location for a reason. She disposed her hamster there that died...I believe there is always a REASON someone chooses a certain location unless they through them off on the side of the road type.
WHO or WHOM has an interest of this farm. I'm sure police are looking at anyone that has great ties with this farm. I think its someone that visited this farm several times.

It is about a 20 min drive, give or take. To get there is pretty simple from the JPJ though, take a right onto Ivy Road, left onto 29, and you are there.
Being from the area though, I can say that I never even knew that farm was there, and I've driven past that road numerous times. I think that if someone did take her there, they had to have known the location well. I've lived here for 12 years, and never knew how large that farm was, or the fact that it was right off of 29, until now. The fact that the farm's road itself is about 1.5 miles makes me believe that whoever did this had been there before.

I agree with you. I also think there is a *possibility* that the farm owner that found her..might even know the perp without actually knowing this person can actually do such a thing. Or the owner next to his farm knows the perp.

OK thanks a lot for the answers guys. So yes, it doesn't look like someone was just randomly looking for somewhere off the road. They really purposefully took 29.

  • #417
Maybe there is a reason that the camera has not been located yet. Perhaps the perp took a picture with Morgan or is someone on that camera and that is why the perp took the camera as a trophy.

Seems very likely that. LE will have spoken to them all and know a lot more than we do by now I guess

I agree completely.
I do have to say though, I've taken 29 to get to Roanoke before, so if she were trying to catch a ride somewhere, she might not have thought that they were taking here in the wrong direction, especially if under the influence at all.

In MOO, I think that she did get picked up by someone, but being that they did get so far, it is possible that she did not feel threatened by that person. Maybe someone here age? I feel that if I were trying to find a ride, I'd be more inclined to get into a car with someone that was around my age.

In one of the first videos after Morgan's body was found, reporters said LANDSCAPERS were coming from the house area and told them the length of the farm road, etc. I wonder if present and/or former landscapers have been checked out. They ought to know the farm fairly well.
