If the autopsy indicates that there was any sexual contact between Harrington and her killer, the likelihood the two knew each other beforehand increases significantly, Kopacki said. Police officials have not yet released details regarding whether the killer made any such advances toward Harrington."

Two important things here..

How would the Harringtons know that Morgan was murdered before the end of the concert when an autopsy hasn't been completed and COD hasn't been determined yet?
How would it be possible to determine that she was dead before the end of the concert without having a COD or autopsy? The body was ID'd by Dentals.

I have the same questions you do but what I'd really love to know is how evidence of sexual contact makes it any more likely she knew the 🤬🤬🤬 that did this to her? Has he never heard of sexual assault? :furious:

I used to be a young girl. I left a concert. My friends and I were lucky to live through it. We did not understand the risk. One of my friends was almost tossed down a mountain. She was 12. Do not blame the victim, please. Some freak took advantage of her situation, and that freak is responsible, IMO.prayers.

IMO Morgan was killed by a local, someone who knew the area like the back of his hand. If he was not from that area, I think he would have dumped her body in an area more convenient to him and skipped town. She was probably picked up on the bridge where she was last spotted. It seems that drugs/alcohol played a huge part in Morgan's demise. I think that the perp could tell by just looking at Morgan that she would be an easy target. If I were LE, I would interview locals with a criminal history, especially ones who have done work on the farm where she was found or adjacent farms. I hope LE is successful in bringing this individual to justice in short order.

"We are very happy to know that Morgan very likely did not live through the time of the concert," said Gil Harrington, who with her husband spoke with reporters in Charlottesville while their son Alex stood by their side. "She was a long time in that field. I'm happy to know she was not alive long enduring unspeakable things."

You guys are probanly already ahead of the game here. I got drawn into watching Obama( he's like a train wreck you don't want to watch but you do anyway....
Anywho Blink on Crime is reporting that there are camera's on the farm where Morgan was found. They are hunting camera's.... There are some pretty intresting comments there to. Wouldn't it be nice if the perp was caught on camera....... Does anyone know about these cameras and how often they record over previous data?

We have a game camera at our deer lease. Our camera works off of a SD memory card and batteries just like a regular digital camera. The camera is activated by movement crossing the lens of the camera. It will take pictures continuously until the memory is full or the batteries are dead. There is no recording over these still images. The images do have a date/time on them. Hope this helps.

ADD: I should have been more clear...there are video cameras available that basically work the same way. However, the one we have is just like a regular digital camera.

Obviously there was poor judgment the night Morgan disappeared that put her in the position that ultimately caused her harm. I think it's time for LE to go back over the case file, from Day 1 and reinterview every single person who MAY have seen Morgan that night. I believe at this point, it would be wrong for LE to just toss aside some of the POSSIBLE sightings of Morgan by random concert-goers.The possibility there MAY be camera images of that fateful night at the location the victim was found is encouraging.

This is seriously like looking for a needle in a haystack. There's a whole arena of possibilities, not to mention anyone going to and fro in the parking lot, local neighbors, and so on.

Some say it had to be a local, of where the victim was found, because she was located in a hard to find area. However, IF it was someone local, the fact there are cameras, wouldn't a local know that as well?

At this point, I guess all we can do is sit back and wait for LE to continue their investigation and watch for any clues they may reveal. But from watching prior cases, we're most likely not to receive much useful information in the future, as LE does not want to jeopradize the case. Their sole goal now is to catch the murderer of this beautiful young woman. Believe me, there's at least a handful of those officers working on this case that have taken Morgan and her family into their hearts and they will spend many sleepless nights and days to get justice for Morgan.

My sincere condolances to Morgan's family and friends. A sad ending to a tragic case. A night that was looked forward to by the victim for months, ended in such a tragedy. Who could have known?

I apologize for taking this off-topic, everyone, but as someone who has spent a large part of my life around the live music business, I've kind of reached my breaking point with the ticket stub/re-entry bit. I'm going to say my piece and you can take it or leave it, but it would be great if the thread could stop focusing on it and blaming folks who have done nothing wrong, and instead figure out what happened to Morgan.

For starters, you're seriously underestimating the "sneak" factor of a lot of people. I could easily send a friend into the building to see one band, meet them between sets, take his or her ticket and go to the security staff saying, "Please, I'm a girl and I'm all by myself and I didn't know any better!" There are very good reasons that the policy is in place and has been in place for years (if not decades) at just about any venue you can find. If you start making exceptions for one person because they're alone, and one because they're female, and one because they made a mistake, you basically need to toss the rule and allow anyone and everyone into the building if they can show you someone's ticket stub. It is a business if you're the band or the promoter or the venue, and you have to protect your own interests - you can't sell a fifty-dollar ticket and have three people get inside with it. It may sound cold in light of what's happened to Morgan, which is a terrible tragedy, but it will not (and frankly should not) change.

Aside from people "sharing" a ticket simply to see a band, I could go inside to deal drugs for the first hour or bootleg one band's set and then sell my ticket to someone and go on my merry way having profited twice or more from it all. I could get kicked out for being violent or overintoxicated or trying to sneak backstage and either re-enter if I could find a new gate where they don't recognize me or sell my ticket to someone else who could enter freely. None of those things are right and many of them will jeopordize the one aspect of safety that the show is responsible for, which is that of the paying patrons who are in the building.

Finally, and I don't wish to blame Morgan's disappearance on anyone other than who abducted and harmed her, she was an adult as are most other people at concerts, and as such she was responsible to know the rules and follow them. I've left a show once myself after an arguement with a friend. I did not expect anyone to let me back in because I cooled down and wanted to see the concert, nor should they have let me in if I asked. Asking people to look out for one another to the extent that they're able is one thing; asking people to babysit other adults is another thing entirely. It sounds to me like Morgan understood this herself as well, since she apparently tried to re-enter, was refused, and let it go. What happened to her after that is the part we should be focusing on.

Well said. There are reasons for no re-entry policies. I have never been to a concert venue where it was allowed.

Early on, like in the first week after she went missing, he parents appealed to the person who took her. At the time we didn't know what happened to her or if she just ran off, had an accident, was abducted, etc.

Maybe her parents were just assuming, or maybe they've known alot more the entire time than was ever released to the public.

Where did this photo come from? Do we now have access to real-time Google earth sat images?

I have the same question.

Wes;

I don't know the answer to your question, but I did notice the date of February 1, 2007 on the left hand corner. Someones date settings need to be updated.

Not sure of the images, too grainy when I enlarge and I don't know how to make them clearer.
