How could a medical examiner or an autopsy determine if she had been raped if it were only skeleton remains found?

Would any fluids still be able to be tested for DNA on Morgan's clothing?

A WSLS reporter interviews a forensics guy (who is NOT connected with the Harrington case) last night. He said it was possible that there could still be DNA evidence on any remaining clothing and/or possibly under her fingernails.

quite likely-also wonder if nails, body hair is still present, able to carry evidence

I can't tell what is on that stretcher type thing at all in that photo, but if her remains were skeletal, would she be that intact? Sorry to be gross, I've just been wondering about that.

Semen.... if the clothing on her lower half was torn.... vaginal blood on underwear.....

I have to asume they would test spots that showed trama, any place bloodstains where present ,all hair from clothing , the heels of her boots,Between teeth. I wonder if they check the nasel cavity for skin cells?

I'm thinking the murderer was someone she met online
& went looking to meet him before the concert. He's a local guy.
I'm hoping they check ticket sales with whoever was selling...like Ticketmaster...they can narrow down buyers by zipcode and start there. I know it's a stretch with the size of the venue...but if it was someone who was familiar with the area then perhaps they can start with a 10-20 mile radius of the venue. I'm thinking they could have met online and hope that LE has checked message boards for the band. My son has connected with people that way at shows. Now I'll be sure to tell him NEVER to do it again.

They'll check everything. I know there was snow for awhile which could have slowed the decomposition process, so that may give them more to work with.

I still think she could have met someone at a gathering before.....

but remember... her family at friends in Charlottesville, so she could still know the person.

I keep seeing posts about that stretcher and I just have to say that I cannot IMAGINE that the forensics folks would leave her exposed like that while they go about their work.
Maybe I'm wrong , but I also am thinking that her remains had already been removed to the medical examiners facilities. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Cannot leave this note without adding to all the other thoughts and prayers for the Harringtons and what they have been through and yet to face. May "the God of comfort" sustain them.

Pertaining to the bold part.....I believe so too.

I , am not sure she ever arrived at the concert.I still think there was something up about the car, the drive.

Snipped by me.

I'm not sure how plausible this is considering the witness reports, but going by this basis...

This would automatically blow the friends' story to pieces because they report last seeing her INSIDE the arena.

They'd surely be in trouble for misleading LE if they were trying to "cover" for her, and potentially something worse if that's not all they were doing.

I do think she arrived at the concert. MOO.

It struck me as weird too! Especially with the movie the Lovely Bones just out! But then I understand what she means, I think -that even in death she is graceful and very lovely and loved...

I think it was a deliberate reference to the book/movie.

The photo seems to show a blue tarpaulin type thing covering her, not a stretcher as others have mentioned... unless it's my eyes

Yes, if the remains were left undisturbed from human or wildlife. It was cold, rainy, and snowing.

I, however, do not know when the shot was taken. I doubt that is what we are seeing. The ME personnel would have removed the remains as swiftly as possible, covered, to the facility. Remains would not be moved or sitting around waiting until they arrived. Until the appropriate people arrived the remains would stay just as found. (Unless she was found on something that resembles whatever that is.)

This makes my heart ache so much for that woman:
Her parents said that she should be remembered as a wonderful, loved person.
``Having seen, that girl even had some lovely bones,`` her mother said.

What strength and grace they have shown.

Does anyone else find the "lovely bones" comment odd, or is it just me?

Additionally, compared to other people/objects in that photo, what some are saying they think is her body is way too big to have been her.

Yes. But as a mom, I can't imagine wanting to see my daughter in that condition and place.
